I interpret it as meaning that this thread can only talk about what will happen, and not what has happened. Ergo, no more game scores. Predictions only.
To be fair, game scores were never posted in the Random Jibberish threads (at least I didn't without hiding them in RESULT tags - I don't recall if anyone else did), only links to game results if anyone chose to click on them. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Goodsie, much as I dislike disputing the claim of such an old friend, practically all you post are scores. Maybe not of the Earthquakes or other soccer teams, but scores all the same. By the way, my son's soccer team has lost all but one game, but that is totally on the coach.
Actually, the numbers in the posts aren't scores, but rather the team's record after that day's game. After all, I highly doubt that (for example) the SF Giants have ever won a game by a 74-58 score, or that the SJ Sharks have ever lost by a score of 54-16-5. Frank Yallop? i remeber the first team i ever coached was a soccer team and we lost all our games and still the parents loved me. but that was back in the 70's when almost no one knew anything about soccer... including me!
Ahh, but another moderator: It attempting to limit the postings to "predictions" which prompted this response: And will make this an interesting thread to visit for a while until GS wins and this thread continues in it's tradition of being ANYTHING but Random or Jibberish.
My uncle was a journalist in Italy during WW2 and he was jailed for writing articles (on soccer) the Nazi's & the Fascists felt went against the rule of law......Never thought we would go back to those days!
Except we don't just jail posters on BS -- we torture them first. You are hereby sentenced to ten hours of watching beach volleyball. (Don't mind me -- son's team just lost, again. At least it's not raining.)

If it's women's beach volleyball, I'm good with it! Heck, I like women's indoor volleyball, except that I learned that most of the gals end up with serious back, knee, and pelvis injuries from all the pounding on the hardwood floors. Too bad, because it's a cool sport. And on a completely random note: In the past five working days, I have had three job offers. Permanent jobs for technical writers are almost unknown up here, and I've gotten three offers. Woo Hoo!! So naturally, I'm going with the last one. I've been trying to talk my way into this company for the last three months, and they've finally broken down and made me an offer. I'm pumped!! (Just waiting on the paperwork now.) GO MARK!! - Mark
