My favorite Willie Nelson quote: "There are two kinds of men in the world; those who are in love with Emmylou Harris and those who dont know her." Extra points for identifying the band members. Best ever. Me gotta go pole a pirogue down the bayou
From the opening organ solo to the final fade out, it's one of the best albums ever. In trying to recall my history with it, I want to say I picked it up after hearing him being interview by Terry Gross around its release. At that point in my life I was in to a lot of hip-hop and classic soul. I'd written off country music almost entirely. This brought me in and I rediscovered a lot of country classics, led me to Car Wheels on a Gravel Road and the Old 97s, and even began to appreciate much of a 90s country pop that now has a found place in my heart. Willie has written a ton of great songs, covered nearly as many others, but this is my favorite.
Wasn’t sure where to post this but to continue the eBay conversation from the other day, there are some brand new black away jerseys (can’t remember if last year or the year before but it’s the black with gray stripes under the arms) on there for $14. Men’s small. Obviously not for most but I offered and got two for $12 each. I’ve ordered from the same seller before and got a new (2018?) yellow from them a week or two ago. When I say “new” I mean they are still in the plastic with the tags on them.

Anyone else watching The English Game on Netflix? It's really good and interesting story about early FA Cup and how football tactics changed.
Watched it last week. After it ended, I did some googling to see how much of it was real and how much not and found that Old Etonians are still active in the Premier Division of the Arthurian League which goes 6 divisions deep.

Right now I am in the third week of remote learning with Markus. I have a lot of new jobs: Phonics, Math, Science, School mental health counselor, Reading, Art, Music, and PE teacher. Forgive me if I forgot a few subjects.
Question for the geniuses on BigSoccer. If you moved to a new house, what baked good would you want to receive?
Not baked, but buckeyes. Made a batch of 60 week ago. Ate 50 of them myself in 3 1/2 days. My crack...Sugar, Peanut Butter and Caramel
Oh, boy. Today's the day of our first virtual staff happy hour! Being that I arranged it, perhaps I should try to suppress the cynicism. And I do look forward to seeing some familiar faces, hearing some familiar voices, for the first time in a while. Including a few former staff who remain valued, and much missed, members of the greater staff diaspora. Still, my expectations are modest. Ain't gonna be like the real thing. Then again, true to form, the new stadium webcam is down again. And as that's been, for me, one of the very few portals to what appears to be a normal world, it's absence today means I'll probably be even more tempted by drink come 4 o'clock than is usually the case.
