I thought this idea was shot down by FIFA already and they said no. If El Salvador plays in the US that really isn't an advantage for them. It is actually helping the "visiting" team have a better chance of getting 3 points "away". It only benefits El Salvador money wise because of all the tickets that will be sold.

Who are the Wolverhampton Wolves???? I've heard of Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are referred to as Wolves for short....
I spent too much time in Halifax and with the local SG who tease the other group as the "original Wanderers" (That name goes back since the 1880s in Halifax although WWFC were founded in 1877) Part of the friendly jabs back and forth was telling them to adopt what's below - that logo though In all seriousness, Nova Scotia is one of the most passionate soccer place in Canada - easily one of its most underrated markets - covering them was fun. But fine - I'll stay "accurate"

But, more importantly, #TFCLive needs to understand why he chose to go the Sigma/college route, rather than join TFCA. There might not be anything to fix. But, they need to honestly look at it and see if they could have done something different. https://t.co/BCPvnnJ1cO— Duane Rollins (@24thminute) August 15, 2021 There's really no reason why Toronto FC Academy didn't get Tajon Buchanan while they could - the snubbing of players outside their academy is real and terrible way to do business. No - the best players in Canada aren't from our MLS academies for reasons like this nor automatically seek to join them by "default" contrarily to popular belief. All the others must either make the jump to Europe, go to a US college to hopefully get drafted or quit (prior to CPL) Sigma Academy has produced guys like Cyle Larin, Ritchie Laryea and Tajon Buchanan. Luckily the next batch of quality players will go straight to Forge FC in CPL.
I'm still skeptical of TFC academy, and quite frankly of the Whitecaps academy, given their past. The academy I'm most interested in is the Impact academy. The homegrown class they signed last year "should" be the best/most impactful academy group in MLS Canadian history. 4 of those players are playing well in the CPL, a 17 year old kid played in an MLS match last week, their biggest phenom - Assi, has Balou Tabla type talent, and we havent seen him play pro minutes yet. Most importantly, Wilfed Nancy seems to be building the club from within and has given young Canadians tons of chances this year, something you never see in Canadian MLS clubs. He actually believes in them. There's been some nice, young talent in the CPL this year, and we're seeing more 17-18 year olds as the season goes on. Some of them will eventually emerge and move onto higher levels, but it will take a few seasons. TFC and the Whitecaps should have more loanees in the CPL, but then again, they'd have to care about their young players in order to do that. The added difficulty with TFC is that they are always going to spend big, thereby limiting opportunities in certain positions for academy players. If you're an AMC aged 16-20 within the TFC organization, why bother? Even the Whitecaps have been on a pretty big buying spree lately. Contrast that to clubs like Philadelphia or Dallas, that believe in building around their academy graduates, and it's tough for kids at TFC or the Caps to have a real path to make it, aside from maybe the odd fullback or some other lesser valued position.
According to Tajon he moved to Colorado because his coach/mentor moved there. He then wasn't allowed to play because he was a foreigner under the age of 18, so he applied to the nearest D1 college to Toronto.
' It doesn't seem like it will happen because FIFA already said no but I think El Salvador playing in the US could have a super pro El Salvador crowd in places like DC or LA, but they would lose all the other things that make it hard to go on the road in Central America and get a result.
Forge FC played their CONCACAF League home leg against an El Salvador team in El Salvador. They play their away leg there today.
