    I bet Portsmouth to draw middlesboro tomorrow, but the bet is called a three way bet. what does that mean?

    Does it mean three outcomes are possible, and I chose one of them?

    You're correct. There are three options: win, lose, or draw. You picked one of three hence making it a "three way".

    On a "double chance", you pick which two of the outcomes are likely to occur.
