if im reading the headline on one.co.il correctly, it is because the electricity stopped working in the stadium...i guess the tzevet couldnt get the lights back on

The electricity did stop working in the stadium after seven minutes of football. The media now reports that a re-match is likely to happen, even though Haifa can ask for it to count as a win on forfeit (is that how you say that?).

Embarrasing. At least it wasn't a UEFA match, and this is supposed to be one of the best stadiums in the country. Then people wonder why they don't consider us for a European final.

Haifa deserves to be recompensed somehow, although I wouldn't go as far as a forfeit win.

Its a nice stadium, one of the newer ones (considering it was built back in 1992 or so)
But I guess it could happen anywhere really. Im sure its happened in some of the big stadiums in Europe before. If the power at the MGM Grand Casino can go out during the Lennox Lewis - Holyfield fight, then the lights can go out anywhere!
