I don't think anything got bumped from ESPN2. It ran on ESPN and cut into the hour-long Sportscenter (which I'm sure the jackasses on Sportscenter really appreciated).

Screw'em. It just meant that they only got to repeat the same stuff three times instead of four.

They would have either ignore it or poke fun on it anyway. They're not sportcasters, they're dumbass comedians like Craig Kilborn.

If only they were a tenth as amusing as Kilborn

Rich Eisen (sp?) was a real stand up commic before joining sports center. He had never been on tv or a jounalist before joining ESPN.

Not true. He was at KRCR-TV in Redding, CA before coming to Sportscenter. He was also a sportswriter for the Staten Island Advance right out of college.

I can't listen to him, but he did have some experience before coming to ESPN.

Man, that is so sweet! Talk about a reversal of fortune. It may never happen again, but SportCenter (aka The Pre-Baseball Tonight Show) prempted by soccer is too cool.

speaking of ESPN, does anyone else watch PTI? i love the show, but they have this habit of ruthlessly bashing soccer...gets on my nerves.

I try to catch PTI every day, but only if Tony and Mike are there. The rest of those fill-in guys are terrible.

As much as it gets bashed around here, I really really like ESPN a lot.
