Guerron should still be considered as an option for the N but with the number of mids showing up in the local tournament, I doubt he'll have a spot by the time the Qualifiers begin unless he has a dramatic change. it's sad, but true. he needs to leave Brazil if he wants to try to have a chance with the NT.

yeah but the new Guerron can coached into tryng a lateral position, who say laterals don't make an important role. His ballhogging would be good cuz by the time he got tired of hoggin he wont be at the Goal to shot lol dont wan that better he passs it. Now whether this man will defend is a problem but ih he's used like udlc it could work.iM STILL lost thinking were playing for the WCQ here:/:eek:.

And on nother note is maradonna a full lumberjack beard???? wtf that shit looks hilariously sloppy wat a dunce....

Guerron should only be used as a striker....where he played with Liga a few years before Bauza had him as a midfielder.....and he should only be used as a sub...Guerron will literally never pass the ball unless he has no other options, and then it's usually a pretty lame pass or if something good comes out of it, it's a chiripa....and asking Guerron to defend is like asking Ivan Hurtado to get younger..not gonna happen!

Listen he plays as a defensive winger in defensive system with speed down the wings and fast forwards uhhh ring a bell? the system make us go to subsequent WC's but now we are realizing this was not a colombian typical style we play more so a Colombian possesion play but with home games. I'm worried of Guerrons confidence quite frankly he is playing poorly and needs to get out the brasilao He should go back to europe to the epl where he could use his speed more. Guerron shoudl not hog the ball he isn't as selfish as you guys make him out to be ifact his persanality is normal relax dude.

I respect Emelectric's opinion, but in all sincerity, as much as I loved seeing Guerron's performances for Liga, the seleccion doesn't operate in the same way, and even if you slot Guerron back as a defensive winger, I still believe in my heart that he'll naturally push forward and will be really slow to come back. I am the first to say his talent is awesome, and he can be a huge asset, but he really needs a mentality shift and to be humbled big time, because at this point, we have Bolanos who can play the same position as Guerron and actually can complete a decent defensive work if asked to...plus, Bolanos is a better team player.

I'm a liguista, huge guerron fan but there's no room for the guy in the NT at this point. his name should always be kept in mind though. I'm not giving up on him yet, but theres lots of changes he needs to make before he's considered an important asset to the NT. and as LDu4ever said, I'd rather stick with Luis Bolanos. Bolanos style of playing fits the NT 10 trillion times better.

All I gotta say is the Guerron of 2008 was the most devastating Ecua player I have ever seen. Even our greatest players, like Tin, Valencia and Aguinaga, have never had an entire tournament in which they were absolutely unstoppable like Guerron.

For that reason alone, I think it's a mistake to write him off. But it's clear he doesn't have the mentality to play abroad, so bring him back to Ecuador and perhaps he can have a comeback.

    Hmmmmm, yes, I see.

I guess it would depend on the opposition and weather we have the Quito/altitude advantage, other wise I'm not sure that formation would work as well as the one I posted based on current form.

if we fielded this squad, or Cris's squad, there's no doubt in my mind that we would have qualified first in CONMEBOL and later went on to win the world cup with a +50 goal difference and zero goals against.

We would have had to go with a 4-5-1 formation had we encountered the heavy weight teams along the way but it could have been done, only if our DT was this guy...

A 4-4-2 Kaviedes formation is vastly superior to a 4-3-3 Kaviedes formation.
