I read the back of a rainforest-scented shampoo bottle because I forgot to bring my phone to poop. As someone who has been to the Amazon, I gotta say:
"Who the hell wants to smell like the rainforest?"
It smells like wet farts and spiders.

If you know how to fix that smell let me know. Um, asking for a friend of course.

Recently started reading "Girls' Last Tour". It follows two cute anime girls as they traverse the post-apocalypse, discussing existentialism and just trying to survive. It's adorable and incredibly deep, sometimes at the same time. Some of my favorite moments early on have been Yuuri hypothesizing that they might already be dead while building a snowman on Chito's head and Chito struggling to explain what a "god" is to Yuuri.

I have been consuming books on Audible at a furious pace. I opened an account when they said they were releasing the Muller Report "for free" (with an account).

I am now "reading" the entire Rep. Schiff Impeachment Report.

    Since May, I have "read":
    The Mueller Report,
The latest books by Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Kamala Harris and Andrew Yang,
    Dark Money
    Democracy in Chains,
    The Wealth of Nations,
    Utopia for Realists
The Plot to Betray America (Malcolm Nance's latest book)
    Blowout (Rachel Maddow's latest).

...I spend a lot of time in the car alone.

Better than spending time in the car with Eddie Johnson, drinking and sleeping in the car don't mix.

[At first, I thought you meant the former Dallas, KC, Seattle, DC United and USMNT forward. My question was "Why?" and then I figured it out]

Definitely a recommended reading for both sides of the political spectrum:

On topic - within the past year or so I read The Third Coast by Tom Dyja, which had some good info on Studs in general and his TV show specifically.

Related, if you're in the podcast scene, Eve Ewing, a local treasure, has a podcast where she juxtaposes her own interviews and work with content from the Studs Terkel Radio Archive.

Back on topic- finishing up The Promised Land: The Great Black Migration and How It Changed America by Nicholas Lemann - which, despite some issues with pacing is super informative and focuses specifically on the migration of several individuals from Mississippi to Chicago in the context of the Federal policy initiatives that were being debated and implemented at the time. Once I knock that out, I've still got one more chapter of Those Who Work, Those Who Don't: Poverty, Morality, and Family in Rural America by Jennifer Sherman which I had to read for school, and am looking forward to finishing up.

Hopefully I'll find some more uplifting content to consume when I'm done with these two.

He sounds like an amazing man, but I just don't know how I can get myself to read straight words right now. Non-fiction isn't really my thing. I will keep it in mind in the future, though.

You should look into libro.fm and support a local bookstore. Same concept.

Important to note- Metropolitan Brewery does not make a bad beer, they're enforcing social distancing at their awesome brewery/taproom while telling Chicagoans to report bars that do not (even though it will cost them business since many bars carry their brew on tap), and their owner has been out protesting with the anti-police-violence marchers for the past month or so. What I'm saying is, if you're going to spend money, and good beer is a thing you're going to spend it on, spend it on breweries that aren't shit. Spend it to try this beer out or any of Metro's other German-inspired brews.

Also, no, I do not have any connection to the brewery other than my own personal enjoyment of their beer and admiration of their willingness to potentially lose business (let's not pretend that showing up for Black Lives Matter won't likely cost them business either) to stand up for what they think is right.

On topic- I'm actually enjoying a glass of their Dynamo Copper Lager right now.

EDIT - I guess it's not on topic- thought this was the what are you drinking thread lol
