The stuff with Fripp is pretty damn good, although the two really long tunes can meander if you're not really focusing on the atmosphere of the grooves they set up. They just re-released the live album, this time with Sylvian's mix instead of Fripp's on the original. Later, COZ
Cake Clinic Coldplay Gorillaz Freedy Johnston The Mooney Suzuki Rufus Wainwright All of them except Freedy make the list because they only have two albums out. Not an impressive list, really, since none of those would necessarily make my all-time faves list. There are many for whom I've either once owned everything or am missing one: The Beautiful South -- Never got around to buying Painting It Red after the new songs didn't impress me in concert. Billy Bragg -- Sold my copy of William Bloke after going about a year without listening to it. I actually feel bad about this one since for "Goalhanger" alone I should have kept it. Radiohead -- No Pablo Honey. I can be sure that I'm not the only RH fan who has that problem. Spiritualized -- Lost my copy of ... Floating in Space a while back and I never replaced it. Bruce Springsteen -- Sold back my copies of Human Touch / Lucky Town because, well, because they sucked. U2 -- Zooropa sold back and not missed. Yo La Tengo -- Never bought Painful. No reason, just didn't. I wonder how I'd answer this question if I didn't sell things back every couple of months to keep myself at or near a self-imposed maximum collection of 200.
I'm only counting EPs and LPs. There are many 7 inches I'm missing. Autechre Aesop Rock Bastro Circus Lupus Os Mutantes Crain Anti-Pop Consortium Andrew Hill Tied & Tickled Trio Mira Calix To Rococo Rot Amon Tobin Henry Cow Laughing Hyenas Boards Of Canada Broadcast Air Mwandishi (A bit of a cheat, as it refers to a very specific band Herbie Hancock played with in the early 70s) One missing- Windsor For The Derby (new album just didn't do it for me) Helium (last album sucked) Trumans Water (Actually it's probably more- I keep discovering more obscure releases. They just have a lot of hard to find albums.) Slint (I never liked Tweez) Village Of Savoonga (Still trying to find the first album.)
