I know. And I was making an out-of-context reference to, for example, Les Moonves saying Trump was "good for CBS." Corporate media doesn't give a shit how aggressively Democrats call bullshit so long as Trump's pro wrestling-style antics are generating page views. Listening to Democratic pleas for fairness won't happen f it cuts into those numbers.

On one hand, Obama had to use the Executive Order because the Republican congress made the decision to oppose him because Black man (and Democrat). Individual One is using the EO to, in many ways, to undo what Obama did. The issue here, to me, is more Congress and how opposed they will be to the President.

Some would say that Congress is under no obligation to work with a President, and in fact, is supposed to serve as a check on him/her, and vice versa. The fact that the President can legally "get around" Congress via executive order is the fault of the Congress for abdicating its law-making authority to the President.

Speaking of Barr...the Dems should be screeching like banshees at the way the media has covered Barr’s “spying” comment. The media has been completely credulous.

That is an excellent point, and it holds even when we don't agree with what congress is doing. Of course, we can choose to vote the bums out if we don't like their obstructionism.

Who's "we," compadre? In polls, registered voters say that Congress fights too much, and that they want co-operation. Then they vote the opposite way, again and again and again.

I might vote such bums out, and you might do so, but our fellow citizens will do no such thing. They're frauds that way.

Many times I see the media talking about an useless approval rating of Congress. and how it is about 25% or so.

The think is that many people like their congressperson, but they hate other congress people.

People want Congress to stop fighting, but they also do not want the other side to "win" and many (specially on the right) think that any compromise on their side = surrender, so that is very contradictory.

    https://news.gallup.com/poll/245747/congressional-leaders-unpopular-balance.aspx

I could not find district level approvals for Peolosi, but she did with her Primary win almost 70% of the vote (and the General with over 80% of the vote).

We the people, of course. But, if we -collectively, not necessarily you and me- choose not to vote them out, then they will most likely continue to play their obstructionist role.

Definitely a tweet written by his staff. Trump would never use the term "open dialogue" to describe anything.

The point is, the GOPs are waging total war. They work the refs relentlessly, and the refs give in. I want a Democrat who will publicly call out bad reporters. I want a Democrat who will pummel Facebook over and over again.

AOC could teach this person you speak of about leveraging social media platforms.

Yup. Since Barr became the AG, my views have significantly changed. I don't want somebody who will compromise, I want somebody who will fight. I want somebody who is willing to pound the Reps into the ground, if necessary

Honestly...I was leaning towards the restore norms side until I’ve started hearing Biden naively talk about republicans becoming decent politicians again.

Joe - they’ve been at war with you for your entire political career...all the while sending one or two to smile in your face while they collectively defeated you in a fight you didn’t t know existed.

You and your ilk have lost SCOTUS for a generation. Have lost half of the federal bench. Have witnessed and turned a blind eye to decades of gerrymandering that has all but guaranteed republican control of state legislatures in any state they represent greater than 40% of the population.

All this happened while you rearranged deck chairs.

    Slow clap for you...asshole.

I fell like Dapip posting the something in multiple threads, maybe I just want to be like him when I grow up.

Maybe reforming "Obamacare" with a medicare for all public option for those that want it.

Marist poll on issues and other things.

Very popular 70% approve. A medicare for all option that allows people to choose between that and their employer sponsored plans. So medicare for those that want it.

Less popular with a 41% approval, Medicare for all that replaces all current private health insurance plans.

    Page 13.

    http://maristpoll.marist.edu/wp-con...Poll_USA-NOS-and-Tables_1907190926.pdf#page=3

Page 14 and 15 have both by party affiliation (and other breakdowns).

Medicare for all to replace private insurance has a 64% approval among democrats, that looks good for a primary win. 39% approval among independents is not so good for the general election.

    BUT

Medicare for those that want it, and leaves private insurance intact 90% approval among democrats, 70% approval among "independents".
