What are the average salaries of players in the Central American leagues? What countries' leagues pay more? I've just always been curious about this.

The top salary for a player in Costa Rica is $15.000 monthly, I think Saprissa has a top salary of $10.000, but not so sure maybe Morado can confirm this.

Heredia might pay up to $7000 maybe.

The smallest teams may pay from $300 for a rookie up to $1000 or $1500.

guatemala's municipal is the one that pays higher salaries and many times on cash! 10k plus bonus is a good estimate, but the player has to be top ranked and producing

I did not know that costarica can match that, some colombians that go there get a 1k to 1.5k per month- some DT at club level go from 3k to 7k if they make finals (but is reare that they pay more than that to outsiders)

more than 7k: got to be for la bala, fonseca, or super high profile players

Average numbers are not valid here, Saprissa and Alajuela are totally different from the rest of the teams(more money, more fans, better players)

solis is not at the end of his career, what are you talking about?

    ummmmm

I always feel that your league gets suckers as futbol players 'cuz you could NOT afford any thing better.

so do not give me that crap about 2 or 3 players making more that 10k

may be 7 or 6k....for a selected grp of top ticos

I also have always wondered how much our players make.

I do know that, in Honduras, there is a lot of disparity in players' salaries.
The big city teams, like Olimpia and Marathon, can afford to buy and pay good players. No surprise these type of teams stay at the top of the league.

However, the vast majority of the league is stuck in financial mediocrity, and are usually stuck at the middle of the league, with an ocassional visit to the top.

I guess the professional soccer league kind of mirrors the financial situation of the whole country. Sad.

Along these similar lines, what do most of these teams sell for? Does ownership change often for these teams?

Ownership changed in Saprissa, Brujas(new team, it used to be guanacaste), Puntarenas FC(new team, it used to be santa barbara) and Santacruz in the last years
