Here are the current standings and my predicted final standings as of late Saturday 8/24/2000: CURRENT TEAM (POINTS) San Jose (42) Dallas (40) Los Angeles (39) Colorado (36) Kansas City (32) PREDICTED FINAL TEAM (APPROX. POINTS) + - Dallas (49) San Jose (46-48) Los Angeles (45) Colorado (43-45) Kansas City (32-33) + - Conference Winner What would really help the Quakes come out on top: If New England could beat Colorado at New England Wednesday August 28th Probably helpful if the result could be a tie in the Dallas/Colorado game at Colorado Sunday September 1st If San Jose could beat Los Angeles at Los Angeles Saturday Sept. 14th If D.C. United could beat Dallas at D.C. United Thursday Sept. 19th
I think if the quakes can beat or tie D.C. next week then beat Columbus and L.A. at home and even if they lose the game in L.A. they still would finish in first unless Dallas wins all of theirs remaining games which i don't see it happening.
Dallas has 2 games at home (vs. the Metros and vs. New England) so those 2 they probably win and 2 on the road(vs.Colorado and vs. D.C.)hopefully they'll lose both but even if they tie one of them they will finish either with 49 or 47 points . S.J has 2 games at home(vs. Columbus and vs. L.A.) I'll say they win those 2 and the streak continues and 2 on the road(vs.D.C. and L.A.) let's say they win or tie in D.C. and lose in L.A. that will put them with 49 or 51 even if they finish tie at 49 points with Dallas they win the division due to S.J. winning the season series head to head 3-1. go quakes!
I figured I'd quickly revive an old, yet relevant post (topic wise, not season wise) I think Chivas wins the group, Chivas Houston Colorado Real Dallas Galaxy Quakes
I predict the 5th place team in the East makes the playoffs over the West #4. I also predict the Quakes will finish in last place.
