I don't know what you learned but I know we (as Hammers fans) didn't learn anything today. It's our M.O.

...and like my dreams they float and die. FORTUNE'S ALWAYS HIDING, I've looked everywhere...

up until today, the defense had been playing well. I think they found their level.

We learned that West Ham have some serious character issues. There is no reason a side with the talent that we have should blow a 3-0 lead.

Of course, the first person we have to look at is Jermain Defoe. His head and heart are in Old Trafford and his performance today clearly indicate what a petulant, spoiled player that he is. The sooner he is gone the better. I prefer the Angry Any and Deane up front. Heck, even Mellor gives us heart that we so richly deserve.

Not sure what to make of the back four. Maybe it was just not their day. James is getting worse. We have no depth until we get some players back from injury.

We need this two week break. Pards need to get something positive going. A lot matches in November and December, a lot of points to be taken.

    2 weeks to get healthy
2 weeks for Carrick to find his game
2 weeks for Pards to kick Defoe's ass really hard.
    -
How much will we get for Defoe and how much will Pards have to spend on the squad?

Do any of you think Clint Mathis could end up in West Ham, find his game and lead us to the EPL?

If you do, then check into the clinic, you're wasted beyond help.

The only person who could lead us to the EPL is Jesus Christ himself, and then the world would end before we could lift a cup.

Here's what we are going to do..

Sign Mark Burchill on loan with option to buy, Defoe flogged off to Scum U.

We then start looking around Holland for some up and coming players who want to play.

We need someone with guts and character. If that is Burchill, then so be it. Hopefully, Pards can figure it out.

I love Clint, but if you watched him this season, you wouldn't want him. Bad Knees, Bad 'tude, few goals (though partially not his fault he had litlle midfield help).
As for the other player you mentioned, this Jesus character, I heard he is a diver.

Bad knee: I don't think so
Bad hernia: I think this takes 6 months to heal fully.
Attitude: I think he hates MLS now

Again not trying to troll (too much) here, but...

Did any of you US-based Hammers supporters catch what happened in the SJ-LA game last night? I was in the stands at Spartan, and all I can say is... deja vu.

I actually enjoyed seeing LA fall apart, that's the difference.

An appeal on Defoe's straight red has failed.

I just realized I could watch highlights from matches with World Package, saw about 4 minutes of this debacle and I still cannot believe the end result.

    That's pretty cool.

Do you happen to have any idea as to why I feel I have Dutch ancestry?

Oh, to add to this question:

Mother's maiden name: Reynaud - apparently from Piemonte region of Italy.

    Grandmother's maiden name: Garcia (Spain)

    Other grandma: Machen

This thread got off track pretty quickly. :D

FWIW, I have no Dutch in me but I am still smart and attractive.

My two biggest interests are soccer and genealogy so I tend to annoy people by bringing up one or the other all the time. :)

The stating the obvious, but I was hoping for some geneological info.

My area of expertise is the Netherlands. Until we can get some concrete evidence that you have ancestors among God's second chosen people I can't help you.

    sorry mijnheer.
