That's quarter to 7 in the morning in NZ pething, it'd better be 3-0 or more to us before I go to work, surely we MUST beat the leek eaters.
    C'mon you irons!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brian, you're lucky you can work it out. In Australia, that's 12.45 in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart, 11.45 in Brisbane, 12.15 in Adelaide and god knows what in Perth!!!!!

However whatever the time I agree with your last comment...3-0 up at least!!

Pething was quoting EST in the USA i think. The game starts at 7.45pm GMT, thats 6.45 am Sydney time probably about 8.45 in NZ and 3.45 am in Perth. Hopefully i'll get home from work halfway through the first half. So may be able to chime in with some comments.

3.0 would be great. We really need this if we are to make a move and overtake Wigan by Xmas! Walker in goal?

I would certainly start with Walker, as for overtaking Wigan by Christmas Some chance! They haven't lost a game yet and unless their strikers get injured I can see no reason why they should start now.

We've had far too many games where we've dominated posession and failed to capitalise with Goals, Wigan don't do that.

Hey 147 - I'm trying desperately to be an optimist. You're right about Wigan, though and you're right about us squandering points. Let's hope that all changes today.

Yank, indeed. A Southern Yank, to be more specific.

I teach History in the high schools of America. It is an eye opening experience. I also coached soccer for a couple of years, not doing it this year but will get back to it next year.

I think this is the first time I've ever seen a Southerner call himself a 'Yank.' Can't you get killed down there for doing that??

    Cardiff up, 1-0, already.

I had a parent so I have no idea how Cardiff score in the first 3 minutes.

Well, I felt dirty typing it but I guess it was technically correct.

I wouldn't say it's technically correct at all. Calling someone from Dixie a 'yank' is something only a 'furanur' would do.

Not to slam Bywater b/c I have not seen either goal but you have gotta question the decision to use Bywater in place of Walker.

Mullins slipped and fell on his ass, that caused the first goal.

Mullins with a poor giveaway to McAnuff... then I think he committs a foul five yards outside the box.

He is having a poor match so far, I would say.

Bywater with a great save on the freekick ... eventually out for a corner.

Nothing really comes of the corner.
