Having just returned from Upton Park, it's hard to consider. Is it a point saved or two points lost.
After the chances of the first half, we should have been on top, with HENRY and WILTORD (a surprise late choice) both going close, but then conceding a very late first half goal.
It started off looking at the team, thinking "Where are Arsenal?". Just could not get used to looking at that new away kit. Maybe the players didn't either. A pretty even half over all. Vieira playing "deeper" in midfield, and not being able to convert chances to goals. This followed by all the yellow cards, (4 in all) being all careless and easily avoidable.
Starting off the second half, being one down from a Joe Cole goal, and then going 2 - 0 down, it was easy to think that the game was beyond us, until an Henry "wonder goal" put us back in with a chance. Then a penalty awarded against us possibly unfairly but it involved Ashley Cole. Boy, is he going to suffer after the game against Birmingham! The miss by Kanuote. (I think Seaman is still waiting for the ball to reach him!).
After this the tide turned, and the pressure was back on West Ham. A fine strike by WILTORD in 88 minutes had the Arsenal fans chanting, "That's why we are Champions" to stifle the West Ham taunts, and if we could have played for another 5 minutes, I am sure that we would have scored a third. The West Ham fans thought "2 points lost". Could we have thought the same? Perhaps. But at least it was not a loss, particularly with Man U and Chelsea drawing 2 - 2 the night before. Leeds beat WBA 3 - 1, so hopefully we shall collect another 3 home points on Tuesday.
