Respuesta: West Brom v Manchester United - FA Premier League - 14/08/11 [R] its on setanta as well. good work starting the thread
Odemwingie out is good news for us; he's been their most dangerous player recently, alongside Brunt. Either way, I expect us to come out of the gates hard. This team has had a very encouraging preseason, and I can't help but wonder whether the traditional slow start that typifies United will be MIA this season.
Also, pregame press conference with Vidic: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PQ6335puOc&feature=related"]Vida, what is best in life? - YouTube[/ame]
We've had great pre-seasons before and still gone out the gates slow. My biggest concern is going to be the emotional let down from last week. trying to get ourselves really up for the occassion. Especially with this being an away tie. Should we score early, I expect the flood gates to open. If WBA keep it tight until the 60th, I expect a very tense closing 30 minutes, and wouldn't be shocked if we only manage a tie. -----DDG----- Rafa--Rio--Vida--Evra Nani--Carrick--Giggs--Young Rooney---Berba Minutes for Welbeck, Cleverly and Fletch off the bench.
I have a good feeling about this match and I rarely do against mid to lower table teams away from home, early in the season. I think they present a threat, but they are ambitions in the way they play which should keep us in check. Expecting big things from Nani and Young on the wings. 3-1 to United.
ehhh, not an easy call. If fit, I'd play Carrick and Giggs. If Carrick isn't fit, I'd play Anderson and Cleverley. The danger of the latter pair is mitigated by having Giggs on the bench to act as an impact player either in attack (Cheech is out so I think Berba starts) or in CM which I think could be his primary role for us this year given our lack of quality depth in CM.
I heard that weLbeck, one L, picked up a knock but given the fact that Cheech is out, I think we'll need him as a substitute.
Ditto. -------------Rooney --------------Berbs Young------------------------Nani ----------Carrick---Clevs Evra--------------------------Rafael ----------Vidic------Rio --------------De Gea Most likely won't happen though. We'll probably see Anderson start.
Well as president of FCUM, I am glad to welcome you aboard. FCUM, Friends of Cleverley in United's Midfield, meets every Thursday at 7:30PM, EST.
www.physioroom.com Lists him as slight doubt, so I agree with you on this, probably SAF will keep him on the bench and only play him if needed, unless he's recovered and then wants to give him a run out later on in the match
Probably a good one for Cleverly and Welbeck (if fit) to get minutes in, we have Spurs and Arsenal next.
Apparently Evra has that knee knock still and may miss tomorrow's match if he doesn't prove himself in training today.
Is it bad that I sorta like the sound of this? give Fabio a start at LB against a team he won't be under massive pressure against. Hopefully its Fabio at lb not Evans (nothing against Evans but I'd like us to give Fabio a chance to take the spot long term and am not a massive Evra fan of late)

Re: Respuesta: Re: West Brom v Manchester United - FA Premier League - 14/08/11 [R] Random note from today's presser - Cheech is still 10 days away.
