Well if no EPL teams want to come stateside after the WBA/Galaxy fiasco, maybe we can get these 11 gals to do a tour of California. Game on...
I thought LA could've handled this situation in a better manner. Hopefully this FIFA report will come to nothing. And the Arsenal girl is Jennifer Aniston's twin. You're right.
they're probably just pissy their fowards won't get a crack at hartmann. you know, be able to knock in a few easy goals and get their confidence up.
but seriously, it sucks for West Brom .... but even they have to see that anybody would rather play Real Madrid than them. I mean, that's common sense, right?
Since the reserve "season" is over for SJ, why couldn't AEG just reschedule the game for SJ instead of LA? We'd have enough "bodies" to play them without having to tire out our starters. What "friendlies" do we have this year anyway? Sure, the attendance would suck, but AEG comes off looking like chumps now.
I think the Rev Reserves have an open date as soon as our starters get back from the Gold Cup Seriously, this may be something that the owners want because it brings in money but I think most coaches don't want any part of these Friendlys and would rather just concentrate of the regular season--PERIOD.
Agreed. Would WBA play the Galaxy over there in January? I think even the LA fans will agree that the way they looked Saturday, the last thing they need to be doing is taking on Real Madrid. Moreno does not equal Raul, and Chung out of position (or in position) does not equal Beckham. Maybe they should make a couple calls and get WBA back.
There's an impilcation on a (small) BBC report saying that they tried and failed to arrange an alternative match, and also had to call off a match against Chivas. It might not be the cost that's annoyed the club so much, as presumably much of the trip can be refunded upon cancellation, but they fact that they've now got arrange other friendlies for a pre-season at very short notice, at a time when virtually everyone else will have filled their schedules with pre-season games. Clubs do have to cancel pre-season tours every now and then for a variety of reasons, but to do so, however understandable, to make a bit more cash, does seem somewhat unprofessional. It's not as if Real Madrid would have just called out of the blue and it'd have been arranged overnight either - the Galaxy must have known it was potentially on the cards for a while. At very least they should have said it was a possiblity.
I wonder if West Brom can release tapes/emails of conversations they've had with players they're interested in....who they eventually did not reach agreement with..
just for the record... "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?" is a quote from the movie Animal House.
Too bad WBA couldn't get SJ to take Galaxy's place. Wonder if they tried? That Spurs girl, mmmm.... Didn't even bothering looking at her face though.
Looks like West Brom is about to lose their case. http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp...y?coll=la-headlines-sports&ctrack=1&cset=true
