It does give MLS/Galaxy a bad name but it's understandable. WBA or Real Madrid? No brainer.

Peace should have read the "MLS owners face thinking cap time" thread and he would have understood that Americans will only pay to see Champions League quality, not bottom of the table teams. :)

Seriously, we'll be able to see WBA over and over again on FSC this year so it's no loss for Los Angelenos.

Yeah, but we we just as upset when Real cancelled on us last season.....

I think Galaxy (AEG) could have handled things much better.....

Why don't Chivas USA host West Brom and SJ Earthqaukes come down and take LA Galaxy or even a Mexican league club.

Yeah. Why couldn't someone else in MLS pick up the slack?

I'm thinking Everton or Man City, or both

Good question. There are THREE ********ing clubs in California. Hell if they wanted to travel to Ohio for a night I am sure the Crew, or my co-rec team, would have been happy to give them a run for their money.

If what WBA says is true then MLS may be liable for restitution damages under a estopple claim for detrimental reliance on MLS's assurances. Then again there are 2 sides to the story and perhaps WBA just acted prematurly during negotitations.

On the LA boards they're saying the game against WBA was not formally announced by LAG or MLS. We certainly know how close-lipped MLS is about any plans/transfers/etc. that are rumored on BigSoccer for just this reason. Was last year's Real Madrid game All-Star Game ever formally announced?

Baiscly if MLS told WBA that the deal was all but done and they were just finishing up the loose ends and to go ahead and plan on the trip and WBA spent $$$ relianing on those "promises" (ie. travel plans, advertising, etc.) then MLS may owe WBA that $$$ back to them minus/plus any mitigation.

However if WBA unduely acted in anticipation of the deal before MLS indicated that it was on ,then WBA is stuck with losses.

If a contract wasn't signed, and it was all talk -- does WBA have a leg to stand on?

Can anyone translate these two articles into American for me? I tried using Babbelfish but it made them simply incomprehensible.

So many chioces. I can't pick. Not a single one would be kicked out of my bed :) Now, if these ladies played in the English womens league I would have to switch my attention and focus to their games.
