West and Barrett start, as usual, but West off with a very early injury.

West's replacement Hornseth scores in minute 33, 1-0 to Fred.

Wade goes the full 90 in a 1-0 win ...

With Bodo/Glimt and Stabaek losing, Frederikstad have ensured their top-flight survival.

That means West should get that contract extension he was hoping for.

West was called up to the Jamaica match, more on that tomorrow.

However, with him injuring himself today, that is looking like it's not gonna happen.

    Unfortunate timing.

You would think that with the defensive turn around that has occurred at the end of the season, and with Barrett's role in that turn around, that he would get some interest for his second cap.

Afterall, he did the same at Aarhus, helping a defense that was lagging, and as a result, Aarhus won their relegation battle.

As I recall from his MLS days and his run with San Jose to the MLS Championship, he is first a top flight defender who can also enter the offense. Afterall, in his first few years with the Clash, when he played defensive midfielder, he had lots of assists to his record.
