But Gringo...he's a liberal and do I need to mention his friendship with the 'C' word.

It's in the open now so I guess McCracken and Karl won't have anything else to add.

I can't wait to vote for a genius war hero over a questionably intelligent duty-shirking stooge who was born with a silver foot in his mouth.

If a wooden boob like Gore can get more votes than Bush, how do you think a dashing All-American einstein war hero is going to do?

NO *#*#*#*#...but I'm just waiting for what the Kool-aid drinking spin jockeys try to dig up about the man. You can assaut women and get elected governor so long as you have an [R] next to your name on the ballot. What's a few DUI's and missing years during Vietnam.

You forgot the most important thing: first son of the 41st President of the United States.

    You forgot:

    Nearly started WWIII
    Fired by Bill Clinton

Clark is down to 5% in NH's latest poll (with 95% name recognition). He has no organization to speak of in Iowa. The guy won't even survive the Democratic primaries. Too many liberals "abhor" the military to vote for him. He could be a decent general election candidate, but doesn't look like he's going to make it that far.

I think the main reason why Dems. have yet to embrace him despite his impressive credentials is the fact that he was attending Republican fundraisers up to 2001 & praising Republicans including Bush II:

    (from CBSnews.com)

Lieberman's criticism underscores a potential vulnerability for Clark, who had not publicly embraced the Democratic Party until days before entering the race. Democratic caucuses and primaries are dominated by liberals and other voters angry with President Bush. It is unclear how they will react to Clark praising former President Reagan, the first President Bush and the current Bush administration in the 2001 speech.

Clark also seemed to raise doubts about whether the Clinton administration had a foreign policy vision in the address.

"I think they'll nab him on all that stuff, including being a Republican. The honeymoon will soon be over for Clark," said Democratic National Committee member Anita Freedman, a New Hampshire activist who supports Rep. Dick Gephardt's campaign.

Forgot to mention that Clark admitted to the fact that all the armour he planes hit in Kosovo were wood and plastic targets.

A man like him should've known to put troops in to ID targets correctly.

If I were a Dodger fan, then your invocation of the bleedin' obvious would have been pertinent. I don't follow baseball anymore, but you'll never guess who I used to cheer for. Hint - I realized that if they ever won anything, their entire reason for existing would wither away, and they'd move the team to Sacramento.

Re: Re: Re: Wesley Clark releases military file

Clark argued constantly for the need of ground troops (or at a minimum, the threat). It was a political decision made by NATO countries' leadership.

Besides, hitting fake armor is better than invading for fake WMDs

And here we have whats known as spin. Bush talks like the average man so that makes him not good enough. He owns a baseball team and I guess you're saying he didn't manage the team so he is a figure head. Oh and I guarantee if you dig deep enough everyone has a "character blemish." The whole college grade thing, well some of the dumbest people I have ever met are straight "A" students and I am sure you know that to. You rip people like O'Reilly for spinning but you just did it. That's called being a hypocrite!

Bush never owned a baseball team. The Rangers were owned anonymously. Bush had a 0.2% investment in the team.

Priceless conventional wisdom of the sort that gave us president Bob Dole in '96.

But I doubt that Clark will even stay on the radar screen up to the first primary, he's getting chewed up already. Now that he has GringoTex' endorsement.......look what that did for UT

Can you please provide examples of General Clark "getting chewed up"?

    Thanks.

You're right to a point--I've met plenty of dumb people who get excellent grades, and there are plenty of dumb people who have managed to get into great schools, and not always through legacy-based means. But we're going beyond getting just As here. How many dumb people graduate at the top of their class at West Point? How many become Rhodes Scholars? There is no spin there. Bush performed poorly, Clark didn't.
