Everything i have heard about this guy hasn't been too hot. He sounds rash, and unbalanced. The man nearly took on the Russian army. I'm not so sure about him.

Shocking. I'm sure George Bush's former National Guard commander would never say anything so alarming about him.

Does this make him a Neocon?

Can't help but think Shelton is being a good Republican on this one.

Probably not because his commander never saw him.

Click on the link, and then look on the left side, to their linked pages.

Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Lucianne, Washington Times, etc.

Anyway, the fact that a Bush whore isn't going to vote for Clark bothers me not one bit.

But I do appreciate the irony of someone naming character and integrity as Clark's problem areas, and saying he'd never vote for Clark.

Clark's not my guy, but the extent to which the GOP slime machine has lept into action is instructive.

The general rose through the ranks under Clinton so that would make him a Clinton whore who isn't voting for Wes.

BTW, Most senior military officers try to remain very agnostic when it comes to future Commanders in Chief.

Yes, because every single officer promoted while Clinton was in office had to pass a "liberal loyalty test" and toss Clinton's salad.

    Pop Quiz..

Which US Military unit loaned vehicles and trained Federal agents before they murdered US civilians at Waco?

Who was the commander of that unit?

So the Branch Davidians were "murdered" by the federal government? Last time I checked they killed four federal agents and went down by setting fire to their own "compound". And associating the US Military to the actions of the ATF becuase they "loaned" them vehicles is rediculous.

    Have you ever served...

I have, and Ill tell you commanders just dont "loan" out equipment.Even to the freaking FBI.Rest assured Clark was there that day or had someone under him coordinating it.

As to who started the fire. The FBI came out in 1999 and admitted they had lied about not using flammable tear gas. They only admitted to this AFTER investigators with the Texas Rangers revealed they had evidence which countered the Fed's account of the situation.

    "loan" was your word.

Don't you think you're reaching trying to tie him to this? The Waco tragedy should be blamed on Koresh not the FBI, ATF or Wesley Clark.

Interesting, I had occasion just last Friday to hear another former Joint Chiefs (co-chairman) -- McAfee -- speak. He was asked what he thought of Clark's bid for Presidently and candidly said "I wouldn't vote for him. But that's based on how I know him personally, not professionally." So it sounds very similar to Shelton's criticisms.

I've talked to a couple moderate to high level foreign policy officials in the Clinton administration that knew Clark. This was months ago, none of them thought he would decide to enter the race, but liked him personally.
