Thanks for standings, Kerpow. This makes the 4th competition so far where I'm stuck mid-table obscurity. :)

    Game hasn't started yet so...
    Manchester United 2-1 Middlesbrough

I could go for 3-1 to Manchester United..... or should that be a 1-1 draw.....

But then I really need a clean sheet in CYKI; with Ryan Giggs to score one and assist with the other..... so........

    Manchester United 2 -- Middlesbrough 0

    He hopes.... :(

glad to see people rate middlesbrough's chances....

im going for a shock 2:1 win for boro

well who says i cant be biased!

prehaps this is why i am festering around mid table

but on the sportingnews FFT i am 33rd....i think that is quite crediable really.

I'm in 16th in sportingnews FFT and it's my only one and haven't bought any transfers. Anelka was a big boost. I'll be cheering for Maccerone tonight aswell. Live on Fox tonight at 7pm so don't tell me the score.

I'm truly amazed that I'm in first place. Blind squirrels and nuts and all that, I suppose.

Anyway, for today's game I'll go with:
    ManU 2:1 Boro

I was only going on the points sytem that Girbo had stipulated in previous rounds. ie. 5 for exact scores in Prem games, 3 for correct result, 7 for exact score in Euro games and 5 for correct result in Euro games. Maybe thats the difference between the scores I gave and you worked out.

"Also don't you think it's a little unfair puting a game up for points mere hours before it kicks off?
About 95% of the participants had no idea this single game would be included."

I'm in the US and there is this little anamoly called time zones. No one else bothered to start up this week's version so when I came into work at 8am I did it myself. There must have been at least a 4 hour period between the posting and the game's kickoff. Anyway, it was just one game.

    Note:
Red = what i think...Black is what you gave.
    Darr 30.......27
    C.Splarg 44......39
    Kopiteinkc 44....49
    O'Dubh 26.....27
    Treetalino 25.....27
    American E 25.....22
    Leperkahn 38.....35
    Flashman 35....37
    1800 WC 29....25

    Please check.

    Note
I have been involved in many of these over the years, some for quite a bit of dough.
It has been proven over and over again that having as few games as possible for addition keeps the errors almost eliminated. There will however always be mistakes.
We had far to many matches to add points off and thus way to much potential for error.
I understand your point about the time zones.
I came home from work however, showered and loged on and the game was almost over.

Clanblue, I'll take your word for it. There were 30 users with almost 20 games to add up. I did not double check the results and admittedly only spent about 20 mins on it. I'm sure others have made mistakes aswell. However, its not for money and most of my mistakes were only a few points either way.

Personally, I think the European games are a distraction and only confuse matters. Also, the new week should be posted Monday night. It was a national holiday here yesterday so maybe that was why it didn't happen.

It's no big deal really kerpow, but if it's going to be done it should be done right.I know this is just for laughs. It would however be a good idea to have at least 3 people to add up and total the games for accruacy.

Also agreed on the euro fixtures.

No more than one week at a time also, as i said the more games the greater the chance for error.

    N E Where
Eh - actually - I'll tot them up and decide since I'm the one who started it and who's giving out the prize.

The game posted above (Man U v Middlesbrough does not count as Week #4.

I'll put up the next week after the internationals and in sufficient time for people to post.

I'll do a mid week comp in future, if people are finding it too hard to make the predictions.

And the point about the Wild Card Games (cos they won't just be European ones) is to give people a chance to gain some extra points.

    Dem's de rules.

    Okay?
