48' 2-1 Houston shows some promising ping, but eventually Edwards in center circle does a waist-high roundhouse volley upfield, right to KC's back line. At 52' I must go snipe a tripod on eBay.

49' 2-1 Houston flicks outstep from 27m box right through box top mid-right for Ohai flashing center-to-right, almost connects but just too far and rolls to Barnhart.

51' 2-1 KC passes down box right for Holiday curling center-to-right. She gets to 7m box right and crosses along 6-top. Ball rattles off feet, Houston clears.

52' 2-1 Kyle tripped from behind just past midfield left. Free kick into box top right, lost.

54' 2-1 KC outlets to Richmond, she dribbles across midfield circle right. Pass up right touch sends "RB" Mathias 1-v-1, wins a throw-in. We bid that tripod up from $64 to $87.11 in the last 10 seconds :p

56' 2-1 Tymrak hops in center circle back to settle a high bounce. Noyola hops poorly, her trailing left hand momentarily cups Tymrak's head. Oops. Foul on the ankle.

57' 2-1 Houston short-pass up left touch, Burger wins a throw-in. Burger's goal-scoring prowess is neutralized a bit because Houston isn't winning midfield.

59' 2-1 Mathias attacks again at 30m right touch, crosses high to Silva running up centerline to 15m. Hop-header pops up high toward 1/4 left, McLeod backpedals and jumps, catches high at 0.5m.

60' 2-1 Tymrak stumbles through a foul at 25m centerline.
60' 2-1 KC fk, Holiday shoots low into wall. Ball z-banks through, bounces to McLeod. I think Holiday wants the wall to jump ...

62' 2-1 Wide to Mathias again, outnumbering at 27m right touch. She dribbles solo to 22m mid-left, shoots left instep high curl toward upper left 90, McLeod jumps and catches high.

62' 2-1 Kansas City subs in (1 of 3) #5 Elizabeth Bogus for #10 Frances Silva.
63' 2-1 Houston subs in (1 of 3) #12 Tiffany McCarty for #8 Jordan Jackson.

64' 2-1 Loose ball near KC's 6-top right? Ohai shoots, Sauerbrunn blocks. 2nd ball lofted in, Barnhart catches.

65' 2-1 Burger overruns Tymrak just above her own box top mid-right. Yellow card on #19 Nina Burger.\

66' 2-1 KC fk at 18m = 19.8 yd :) mid-left. Holiday bends it over wall to left post, not much power, McLeod catches easily.

68' 2-1 Sauerbrunn hoofs it box-to-box to McLeod.
68' 2-1 KC drives up centerline to 24m, diagonal pass to Holiday at box top wide right. Cross blocked.

69' 2-1 KC through-ball from box top left sends Rodriguez 1-v-1 to 6-top left. Hein slide-tackles perfectly, cedes a corner.

69' 2-1 KC left corner, Holiday into traffic, Houston clear. KC overhit down wide left, over.

73' 2-1 Sauerbrunn chases ball back to own endline left -- just late.
74' 2-1 Houston left corner, short? Fizzle.

74' 2-1 KC right throw-in at 4m. Barnhart has to shield her eyes from the sun for the throw-in! Foot-passes back to the thrower.

75' 2-1 Houston long ball bounces through box to mid-right. Ohai chases, Phillips bumps, Ohai sprawls as Phillips stumbles through, Barnhart gathers. No call.

76' 2-1 Houston two-handed pushes Bogus into near touch at midfield. KC fk, eventually offside at 15m wide left? McLeod takes a fk way out there ...

79' 2-2 McCarty backpasses down left touch, runs up left for a triangle pass. Kyle, facing away, does an awkward hacky-sack back-kick to get the ball on the diagonal -- McCarty gathers it, sprints inward toward box top left, fends off Mathias with an arm, KC paying for Mathias's continued aggression vs. McCarty's fresh legs. Phillips comes across and flying body-checks McCarty down just outside box top mid-left. Yellow card on Phillips.

80' 2-2 Houston fk at box top mid-left, curled poorly, wide right.

81' 2-2 Kansas City subs in (2 of 3) #11 Morgan Marlborough for #23 Nikki Phillips.

84' 2-2 Rodriguez dribbles to 20m center, blasts left foot between 2 toward 1/5 right 1/3 low. McLeod dives horizontal and blocks ball down to right post foot, can't gather it? Ball leaks over endline right.

85' 2-2 KC right corner, fizzle.

86' 2-2 Frantic both ways. KC pass to Bogus open at circle top wide right, she loses it at 25m mid-right but KC continue a siege.
87' 2-2 Romero pokes ball into far touch.

    87' 2-2 Kyle fouls Holiday(?) at 33m mid-left.
88' 2-2 KC fk, Holiday chips it softly to 6-top left post, McLeod catches. Rodriguez is a gun, Holiday is a howitzer.

89' 2-2 Tymrak 1-v-1 down wide left, loses it over endline. Dash could steal a point in broad daylight, and we still don't know how.

90' 2-2 Ochs curls toward box ar cop center, Holiday intercepts. KC counters, switches long to Rodriguez at 30m mid-left. Ball bounces up and along her right shoulder. As it drops, she and Ohale reach feet waist-high. Ball bounces off Ohale's arm? Or high-foot deemed unsafe? Yellow card on Ohale  <== (we need this smiley back)

90+1' (of +?') 2-2 KC fk at 27m mid-left, Holiday chips it over the bar.

90+2' (of +3'?) 2-2 Houston fk at circle back left. Into box, McCarty backshields 1 at 10m box right. Lost over endline?

90+3'? (of +3) 2-2 Houston intercepts at circle top right, long shot into Barnhart's basket.

FT 2-2. Mathias reverted too much to RF mode, couldn't handle a fresh McCarty. That was a pretty wicked sub by Waldrum.

75' 1-3 Chicago fk, DiBernardo sails it into box top left post, cleared.

What's with KC? One minute they look like the best team in the league. The next they let in a late goal and lose or tie.

75' 1-3 Leon chases through box top left to encourage Naeher to clear a backpass.
76' 1-3 Hoy chases a bouncer, sandwiched by King + Whitehill at 25m arc right.
77' 1-3 Boston struggle up left touch, O'Reilly (on the left) wins a throw-in. Boston's possessions seem short.
77' 1-3 Boston 2nd left throw-in, back to "LB" Pathman. She tries to square, intercepted by Chalupny. Boston is a bit too frantic.

83' 1-3 Chicago right throw-in, to RB Wenino running through box top right. She drives past 2 to 6m mid-right, pulls a low cross to 6-top right post, Naeher smothers.

84' 1-3 Boston long shot from > box top right, LeBlanc catches at right post high.
