Most of you do already, but Club Quake is asking everyone to get the word out to wear blue for the televised game against Chivas. Don't let peppermint stick be the dominant color during the game broadcast!

    A sea of blue.

    Good Idea!

I'll put away my white 'away' jersey for that match and get out my extremely badly copied "non branded" blue replica jersey which I bought at Troy Dayak's store in Tracy. Still, the price was good!

Any idea if Brian at Cal Custom has this season's jerseys available for sale yet?

Call. The #/address info for Cal Custom is in that "Adidas Kits in '05" thread, several times.

Club Quake was selling them for Cal Custom at Saturday's meeting (I got one), and IIRC there were at least a couple left. Not sure if CQ still has them or if they were returned to Cal Custom, though...perhaps a CQ officer could verify.

Sounds like a good day for the team to do a blue Quakes t-shirt giveaway, if one is in the works for this year. You are absolutely right, Guy...if there will be a home match this year where the visitors' jersey may rival ours for visibility, this will be it!

Those at the Club Quake meeting can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Alexi said he was planning to give a chivas poster give away because his obligation is to get more butts in the stands no matter what team they go for ...

All the Blue shirts I have are from the OSH giveaways from past years which have #10 LD on the back. It is probably time to shell out for a real blue shirt without that moniker.

Any home game is a "wear blue" day.

Any old blue shirt or jacket is better than an official something other than blue. We bring extra to games.

I still can't believe how retarded they were in giving away generic white t-shirts last year.

When we get a new stadium (right Goodsie?) we should paint the seating blue.

    That would look sweet! :D

And you correctly used the word "when" instead of "if".

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! :(

If not, get some blue dye and go over the back with it. ;)

Too bad this match isn't being played in Italy, that way we could gather up all the chivas poster and make a big bonfire with them.

I still like the front with the Quakes' logo and "Think MLS Cup" but I agree about the back. I'm thinking of adding the words, "Not you" above "Donovan" if he winds up in LA.

You can BBQ in the parking lots and the Quakes provide 50 gallon gasoline drums for used charcoal. I am sure they have flared up now and then.

Not a bad idea, maybe the Casbah, or the Ultras could organize a collection spot at the exits where Quakes fans can "deposit" their posters.

How nice would it be to have (and use) a roll of toilet paper with red and white stripes on it .....

I'll bring a nice goat piñata to the tailgate that day. Something for the kiddies to hate on. Well, kiddies and angry drunks.

well, in an ideal world the seats could be electric green for all I care. I'd rather have butts in the seats blocking them from view than having to resort to painting them blue.

but we have to crawl before we can walk. and walk before we can kick landon in the jimmy.

During the Telemundo telecast of Mexico-USA, there was a commercial for the Quakes-ChivasUSA match ... it was nothing but Quakes highlights, but the announcer seemed to be pressing the "see the first visit of ChivasUSA" more than "see Brian Ching score a goal." I wonder if we're gonna be outnumbered at Spartan that day.

    Duh! :(

Then again, that'll be true for just about all of CD Chivas USA's road games.

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! :(

Unless Chivas USA turns out to be really crappy and the Chivas Guadalajara fans won't come out to support them.
