I am very excited about this. Two questions though... 1. When are we supposed to sing the song? Post-game? Pre-game? Both? 2. Is there a way to integrate La Turbina's drums with the song?
"Traditionally" it would be both but it could catch on like wildfire and I can vision this being sung during the match. LTA........ well.......they can add that Latin flair to it (similiar to say Ozomatli) but keep it at a respectable tempo. How about no drums at all, or no drums for the first chorus and then the second chorus a fun, driven style (similiar to howthe Spurs supporters sing Oh When The Spurs). For those head honchos in the sg's lurking this thread, will topics like this be brought up to the club during the next supporter's group/club meeting?
Stand by Me, I like that one! No offense to the Coldplay enthusiasts but they are a bunch of plagiarists, song 'references' is bs, and we don't need a song that just happens to have yellow in the name.
Stand By Me has a nice steady beat to it so I could see LTA being able to incorporate itself into it if they so wanted. Obviously they just can't play at there normal frantic pace.

^^^^ I think someone really likes Yellow. We will never 100% agree on a song but do you think everyone in Liverpool wanted "You'll Never Walk Alone"? We should just start some and see if they catch on. This is the only way it's going to happen.
We could always ask Scott Debolt to have the top singles played every week. Which ever song the Nordecke likes singing the most will stay. Who knows, maybe 'That's not my name' will become our anthem. (before someone says this is a stupid idea, I'm just pointing out this is how YNWA started getting sung by the Kop)
This is a good idea and a stupid idea I really like your idea in theory put I dont see us getting into "Hot n Cold" or whatever souljaboy bullsh*t is out now. Popular music of today isnt really set up for ballads or built to last in most cases. The best suggestions so far I feel are yellow (as you have seen) and the Elvis song (which has been done in the past and is pretty cool). The only reason I dont care for "Stand By Me" is that it has no connection or lyrical tilt towards the crew. It could work and probably would sound pretty cool, but I dont know if we should just pick a song out of a hat.
