I think that would be less pressure because everybody is convinced the club is going to go down so it becomes a free run for a lot of these guys. Plus the sentimental nature of helping out the club Legend.
What now for Barca amidst their current deep financial trouble? Lionel Messi gone, over £1bn in debt - how do Barcelona turn around their year of crisis? | Football News | Sky Sports
Get rid of high salaried players like Dembele, Aguero, Coutinho, Busquets, Alba and Pique. Start from scratch. Give the manager time. Integrate Nico Gonazalez, Demir, Gavira, Puig, Balde and give them confidence. Establish a consistent back four instead of the rotation. Finish top four and make it past the group stages is good enough for them for now.
City up at Chelsea, deserved on the balance of the game. Tuchel going to have to be less defensive now.
Didn't see the game yet, but it's way too early to even think about discounting Chelsea for the title. This is just one loss, a close one to a co favorite. It's not like they're in the same situation as us, having lost multiple games (across several competitions) and playing mediocre ball along the way. Pretty safe bet they'll be looking to rebound midweek in the CL and especially vs Soton in the league to keep themselves in the reckoning. Right now, City, Pool and Chelsea are the ones vying for the title, on more or less equal footing at this juncture of the season.

I just think at this point Citeh and Pool have settled squad, Chelsea need to win big matches, you never know these matches might be diff in the end. Citeh Pool and Chelsea have the capability to go on crazy winning streaks.
Chelsea have already showed tons before today, when for example they went to Anfield and managed to get a draw when they had to play a whole half with 10 men. With a little luck, they could have won that game. Again, won't comment on today's game as I haven't seen it yet, and while a loss at home is not good, does not appear that Tuchel and Chelsea were completely outclassed. At worst, Chelsea will be tied for 2nd right with City and us by the end of the weekend. There is simply no logical reason to claim it's a race between Pool and City in September, when Chelsea have lost one game (like City have). We're still right there, points wise, but we absolutely look like the worst of the 4 so far and need to seriously improve if we're to have any real shot at contending for the title with the other 3.
Absolutely amazing game between Brentford and Pool! The spirit and fight of the Bees to come back and earn a well deserved draw.
Just watched Villareal battle Real to a draw today. Very much what can be expected from them this coming week when they come to OT (if they can steal the win, great but will be content with a point in all likelihood). Defended very deep today in 2 banks of 4 and even 5 towards the end of the game and offered very little going up front. Going to have to be sharp and creative to breach that on Wednesday: daunting when we know how we struggle with teams that bunker in such manner.
Shorts related injury? Gerard Moreno is reportedly a doubt due to injury when Villarreal visit Old Trafford for next week's Champions League game— utdreport (@utdreport) September 26, 2021
Moreno didn't play yesterday vs Real: the commentators have spoken about a hamstring injury. Would be surprising to see him line up Wednesday. Was more than likely the reason why Villareal, more than usual, had virtually zero forward intent. Danjuma was the only real threat for them on the left (Dalot could have his hands full with him). Not concerned about losing to them (we really shouldn't) but a draw is really not enough either and prying that defense open is really the biggest worry.
Spurs looking pretty terrible thus far in the NLD. 17mins in and they're already down 1-0 and have been pretty much constantly under pressure. Kane might have had 1 or 2 touches so far. That attack is looking poor under Nuno... Tottenham looks to be a tonic for Arsenal, who are looking pretty good today. Even Auba is back on the scoresheet: 2-0.
They're not as bad as they showed at the start of the season, if we're being honest. The players missing (like Gabriel and Partey) didn't help matters either. They look to be on the march back up the table, with Spurs def going the other way. They look like shit and I imagine that Kane right now is asking himself why he didn't really try to force a move away now.
Could City be coming for Kane as soon as January? Might only be an outside possibility but crazier things have happened. Especially if Kane continues to look disinterested and like he's downing tools. This was a NLD today and he played like he couldn't be arsed. That is not good at all for Spurs...
