Danilo pushes up when we have the ball and becomes a sweeper DM. Cancelo and mendes are fast wingbacks who can run back. Bernardo and Palhinha are the main midfielders. Felix, Bruno, cr7, Leao across the forward line switching places and causing havoc! A type of 4-2-4 / 3-1-2-4
Rui Patrício João Cancelo, Fonte, Rúben Dias, Nuno Mendes; Renato Sanches, Danilo, João Moutinho; Bernardo Silva, Diogo Jota, Cristiano Ronaldo Goalkeeper and defense makes sense. Midfield is questionable, but Bruno Fernandes has been so bad its not surprising he's benched.
The lineup is not bad. I like the fact he added Sanches who's a creator out their with his speed and passing ability. Danilo will be playing the a stopper role and Moutinho even at his age is still an upgrade over Fernandes. I know people are piss that Paulinho is not in the lineup but Danilo have been rock solid the past few games playing in the defensive role.
They had zero offensive creativity in the midfield against Ireland. At least when Sanches came into the game you saw some creativity.

I think the line is ok, though he would add more experienced players and he did, Danilo and Moutinho.
Not a terrible line up. But I would have liked to see Andre Silva start and move Bernardo to Moutinho's position (putting Moutinho on the bench).
GOLO! Sanches gets one after some good pressing from Portugal to cause a mistake on the edge of Serbias box! Bernardo Silva with some great pressure to steal the ball and Sanches with a top finish
I don't necessarily have an issue with the line-up. I think it's good. Just don't think Moutinho should be a starter at this point in his career. Just my opinion
