    Ticket status :: Bank transfer

It has already been 6 weeks ago that I paid for my tickets for the World Cup 2006 through http://www.fifaworldcup.com I emailed them a few times and they said to me that were a few problems with a lot people and that they will try to solve the problems.

But I would like to know if the status of anyone here has changed yet with the payment method of bank transfer after you paid?

Re: Ticket status :: Bank transfer

I emailed them again a few days ago, requesting that they allow me to change my method of payment to Mastercard. I told them that I had sent money 5 weeks ago. I'll paste their response:

The bank transfer proccess in its entirety will be taking some time. As
    soon as the
payment will be completed, you can check the new status of your order
    in your
Customer Self Service. Please take into account that the entire
    proccess might be
completed only at the end of July.

However, we can assure you that if your bank transfer was successful,
we will do everything in our power to match your payment with your
    order. We appreciate your patience.

As the bank transfer process has been initiated already, it is at the
moment not possible to change your payment data from bank transfer to
credit card. We are sorry not to provide another answer.

So I guess there's a lot of waiting to come. I just hope that they take into consideration the difficulties so many North Americans have had in transfering money for payment of their tickets, and give us a second chance with a different method of payment (if our money transfers don't show up). Of course, then there's the matter of where all that money went in the end, but I'll worry about that after I get my tickets paid for (or after my order is cancelled).

"A few problems"-that's the understatement of all time!
They've had 4 YEARS to prepare for the event and they sent the MOST AMBIGUOUS wiring instructions I've,or my bank, have ever seen. Let's not forget to bash them on the accomodations link not being ready either(it's running now).German efficiency at it's finest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    What incompetent idiots!
If they had sent even "murky" wiring instructions, the process would have been completed by the end of June as the originally responded to the delay question.

The OC knocked back my application in the first phase because my transaction by Mastercard was blocked!!! WTF!!! I only got the card because i thought it would be easier then the bank method.
So i emailed the OC and they reinstated my application and told it me it would done in the second phase.
After i repeatedly emailed them about the application, they kept telling me that it would be done soon.

Now i got an email telling that i have been unsuccessful! :(

due to the high demand for tickets for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany (TM), the
ticket applications correctly processed and accepted had to be entered into a
    draw.
Unfortunately, you have not been allocated any tickets for the 2006 FIFA World
    Cup
    Germany (TM).

We are sorry not being able to give you positive reply. You are of course
    welcome to
reapply for tickets in one of the subsequent sales phases. The second sales
    phase
    starts May 2, 2005.

    Yours sincerely

    WTF!!!

The Germans are simply morons on a grand scale!

Can i sue them or mastercard for pain and suffering?

I understand that later on it gets cheaper to buy tickets, how true is that? Once you know which country plays?
Also, are you guys buying a tour package as well?

    Prices will not change.

    Not getting a package.

Probably will stay in countries outside of Germany and go in by train on the day. As prices in Germany will be over inflated during the world cup.

Prices in Germany aren't currently "overinflated". I booked all but 1 of my 17 nights thru the FIFA accommodations link and the rates are very reasonable.I booked nights in Gelsenkirchen,Frankfurt and Leipzig.I booked my other night in Mainz at Golden Tulip for 60 Euro.I looked At Golden Tulip and Best Western and both were reasonable also.
I had originally planned to do as you suggested by staying elsewhere and traveling to the matches but the logistics prevented that for back to back matches.Packages seem really expensive as do individual tickets through brokers.
BTW,great picture of Joe Namath in a Croatia jersey!

bigdelta, you recommend buying with fifa then? Are you also buying air or just the land package?

My kids are excited about going but the thing is that if we can't see the US play, they will get upset! Do you know if the tickets can be changed?

ili,FIFA only offers hotels via their link as far as I know. You will be able to get tickets for the USA matches hopefully through the USSF after we qualify. You'll need to registed with them to be able to acquire tickets.I looked at Golden Tulip and Best Western too and they were reasonable.I'll be flying into a neighboring country and then taking the train to Germany for my stay.

Re: Ticket status :: Bank transfer

Thank you for the information. This will be our first time in Europe, I am taking my two kids, my brother and a nephew who dreams of this!! I am hoping that we can get tickets for the US matches and still have reasonable prices and accommodations. I also want to go to a neighboor country, maybe France and travel by train. Like US-France- train to Germany and leave back to the US from Germany. I am so excited, I don't want to make any mistakes but I also need to save as much as I can. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

They asked me they would like to debit my credit card in the next 48 hours!

So now iam waiting for them to debit my credit card!

Still have not had my credit card debited, but at least when i visited customer service it says my order is being processed! And hearing how long it has taken others to have their orders, Iam not that worried yet!

Will let everyone know when i really get them!

I emailed the OC and got this message.

+++ Please note that for your new request the intended form on
www.fifaworldcup.com needs to be used. Your message to noreply@mx.fwctc.com
    won’t be forwarded and/or reprocessed. +++

    Dear ********,

unfortunately we have not charged your credit card untill now.
But anyway this is no reason to feel concerned because we are
actualy wayting to collect all data of the customers which have
not been charged yet and are going - after we have finished this -
to charge all the customers in one run becsuse of synergy effects.

Finaly we are planning to run the payment within the next days.

So don't be worried about your tickets because the are still
    reserved for you.

    Yours sincerely

Your 2006 FIFA World Cup (TM) Ticketing Center

Hopefully they process my order soon!

You probably can't USA team tickets anymore from FIFA. Sold out.

Your best bet would be through the USA football federation.
They they might give preference to people who are MLS members, registered players, officials etc etc.
Investigate it, as they probably will release only limited tiks!

More tickets will become available from time to time - some extra were released a couple of weeks ago and quickly got snapped up. Check the site often. Every day, even.
