Good selection me thinks, except wtf is Haroun doing here??

Vanden Borre and Vertonghen are injured btw

    my team would be:

    --------------- Bailly-------------

    Swerts----Kompany-Simons-Vermaelen

    ----------Witsel-----Defour-------

    Hazard--------Fellaini------Dembele

    ---------------Sonck---------------

I think we'll miss Vanden Borre and Vertonghen a lot more than we can possibly imagine. They've been among our four, five stand-out performers in recent games. It's really a shame they're both out.

I'm okay with your team, Gorando (yes, even with the exclusion of Stijnen), but I'd move Witsel to the right (and give him a free roaming role there) and put Mudingayi next to Defour. I'm a fan of Hazard, but I'd bring him off the bench.

Now Kompany is out too. This is a great time to be missing three of our five best players.

Great, now Van Buyten will be playing, which is great news for Bosnia...

unless we play him up front :p

Well I guess Vander Eycken will now have to pick his poison. I'd hate to see Van Buyten out there, but it's not like we have a lot of decent alternatives...

I'm not going to blame this on VDE's tactics. This is just a generation of losers. They might have the talent, but they lack the grit their less talented predecessors did have.

I wouldn't blame this on the players, they are still just a bunch of kids. It was perhaps the most experienced player, Simons who let me down the most this saturday.

VDE however is the one to blame with his sorry ass tactics, even the players
are getting fed up with him now. Let's hope we don't win against Bosnia so we can wave goodbye to VDE.

Does the KBVB really need to see us lose against Bosnia again to understand that we'll never get anywhere with VDE? The real problem is who do we get after he's gone? If they plan on hiring the likes of Broos and the like, then they might as well not bother at all.

The only Belgian they should even consider is Gerets. If he's not up for it, then for the love of God get a foreigner in!

I agree that Simons, along with Mudingayi and Swerts were the most disappointing. Swerts' only decent play of the game was that assist to Dembelé.

What would be best for us, long-term? Belgium losing tonight, ending all hopes of going to the 2010 WC, but getting rid of VDE? Or us winning tonight, keeping hopes alive, but still stuck with VDE, a man who will never take this team anywhere long-term.

Gee, those Sonck remarks will really help in bringing the calm back into the Belgian camp...

Lack of experience and probably depth as well. Poor tactics.

Can't wait for next week, the dismissal of mister VDE. It will be a glorious day for Belgian football.

Disturbing though the comments of Fellaini on the lack of effort by his teammates. Maybe its true that the players are more talented but they have a loser mentality...

They need a collectively kick up their arse. Get in Gerets with Wilmots as his assistant.

Fellaini had a stormer against Wigan yesterday. Without doubt MOTM. Could have a hat trick.

So who should be the new headcoach? Everybody is screaming Eric Gerets, but I dont think he will do it. Maybe Dick Advocaat or Boloni from Standard?

Please no Broos. Gerets is my favorite. I'd love to see Advocaat as well. If we can't get either of those, then Böloni wouldn't be the worst possible choice.

But please, no Broos. Or the Wilmots-Scifo tandem I heard people talking about. I love Wilmots, but the closest thing he should get to NT manager at this stage is maybe becoming an assistant. Not the head coach.

Ugh, after all the talk about a big-name international manager, we're now likely to get De Sart...

    Please God no

We need a Van Gaal, Advocaat type of coach, not a boring ass wimp like De Sart.

Vercauteren is now the care-taker until after the Kirin cup. Worst case scenario is us doing well at said cup and the idiots at the KBVB giving him the job full-time.

Not likely he will do good; first of all he is not a good coach, secondly a lot of players will be missing because they will be still active in their domestic leagues.

We can only hope. The way he fell out with so many of the youngsters at Anderlecht wasn't great. The last thing we need is him taking that drama to the NT.

So Advocaat van de duivel(s) it is. Seems like an ok choice to me, they atleast had the guts to try a foreign coach this time which is a huge step for den bond lol. What are your thoughts on Advocaat?

Huge upgrade from Vandereycken. It's all up to the players now. They won't be able to blame it on the coach now.

Oh and I actually think Böloni would have done a good job as well.
