http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Xw7Bk2krtg Especially the last minute of the video... This song was released in 1996. It's Rage Against The Machine's Bulls On Parade Don't know why any of us didn't think of this. Let me know your thoughts. And no, no Tom Morello guitar solos in 101...
God has it been that long since this came out? This song might be difficult to sing, I remember trying to cover it with my band back then. Something like this maybe: "The soccer ball explodes/shattering the goal/ Dropping Goals like Juan Pablo/ DC United can't get the fu(k off the commode/...." I like it, lets try it.
We rally round the section/with a pocketful of noise Bulls on parade!!!!!! (or something similar - I can't see doing the whole song though - but the refrain works, just needs a bit of tweaking)
Dear Marc DeGranpre, Please listen to the song contained in the link above. Would you please insert it into the gameday songlist inside the stadium before the new, and somewhat sappy MLS anthem. Thank you, A fan. P.S. It might fire up the crowd up a bit more than the PA announcer saying "Get on your feet!" week in and week out.
Damn Straight! I know that would get me jacked up even more for the match. Maybe even a few soccer moms too.
I think Jamison should wear fake dreads so that he looks like DeLaRocha (or whatever the lead singer's name is).
Have we talked to the FO about playing Stand By Me before the MLS anthem yet? Seems only fitting that our club anthem is played before we enter the pitch...
