I have a feeling that transfer to ManU is not gonna happen
(at least not this year, but perhaps never)

Wijnaldum off to Roma… hope he’ll get regular playing times. I think Van Gaal will need him sharp for the W.C!

Hate the ridiculously high uniform number for Gini. #25 makes me sick.

Mourinho likes veterans, so the prospects seem good.

  8. They will have to pay him, as insolvency of paying salary owned just means Frenkie goes out of the door transfer free. Even imbecils like those running Barca know that 17 million is less than losing 75-80 million on transfer rights.

  9. His absence goes hand in hand with an underperforming Memphis the last few matches. But LvG knows better.

Agreed. Always some good combinations between the former PSV men.
Now Memphis needs to figure out in the next few days we’re he will move to due to his shambolic treatment by the scum of Catalonia.

I dont understand this critics, I think xavi has made it clear Depay doesnt fit in what he is trying to implement (tatic). This is very common with coach and even koeman and Van gaal write players off before even arriving at a club. If you would recall Koeman wanted to do massive exodus at Barcelona. Suarez phone call. So did van gaal when he went to united.

For frenkie its clearly his wage issue and again cashing him will be win win situation for Barce. Gavi and pedri , Nico, Busquets arrival of Kessie, Torre carral , they still will have a good depth retained.

Yeah, he seems better suited as a change-of-pace guy off the bench late in games - was surprisingly effective in that role for Barca last season. Unless PSV want to play a very direct style this season.

Frenkie best Barca player today coming on as a second half substitute in Barca’s nil nil home opener against the mighty Rayo Vallecano.
He should probably start the next match as the pathetically slow Busquets was sent off.
His ability to run the ball between the lines is truly World Class.
Memphis sat the entire match as the overrated duo of Raphina and Dembele started and played poorly.
    I Love it.

Lots of reporting that Depay has already agreed to contract terms with Juventus. Final step is for the two clubs to agree on a transfer fee. IIRC, Memphis went to Barca on a free transfer, so anything they get from Juve now will be profit.

I just want to see Memphis get regular PT to stay sharp for the WC.

What do you guys think of xavi simons. He has shown alot of maturity in the minutes he has clocked and with scoring and assisting. This can be attributed to his time at PSG and perhaps training with the big names. It's seems like eredivisie is a step down for him and what makes me sad is Why KNVB didnt fast track his development by calling him up to the U21s when he was at PSG. I mean he has come in and is proving himself to be a player bound for stardom and which he has been hyped for. I sure if not NT he will break into JO. But again this could have been fast tracked before imo.

Simmons made the same mistake countless other Dutch youth players have, he moved abroad for his youth development. He was never good enough to break through at FC Bankrupt (aka Barca) and his move to PSG was a disaster as they will always spend big money on established players rather than promoting youth. He's not the tallest player around (1.68m) and I guess there is a question about what is his best position on the field. There are lots of good young Dutch MFs these days and competition for the NT will be pretty fierce for the next cycles. It's not clear that Simmons will come out on top.
