look who's threatening for the top spot (and the reason i was hung over today) early in this tournament.

    General Table:
    1. San Luis 10 Pts., 4 games played
    2. Tigres UANL 7 Pts., 3 games played

unfortunately the top spot and a possible playoff berth is currently of no concern, because we have a bigger issue at hand.

    Relegation Table:
    14 Necaxa / 80 / 70 / 1.1429
    15 Puebla / 40 / 36 / 1.1111
    16 Tecos UAG / 78 / 70 / 1.1143
    17 Tigres UANL / 76 / 70 / 1.0857
    18 Indios Cd. Juárez / 0 / 2 / 0.0000

needless to say, but relegation fights add a whole other dimension to football seasons.

Your relegation table is one week old.

Puebla and Tecos are now between Tigres and Indios because Tigres won on Saturday, they have now 79 points, Tecos lost, they have 78, Puebla tied, sending their quotient to 1.1081, while Tigres has now a quotient of 1.1127[IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Tigres 1 - 0 Atlante

we beat a team (on Wednesday) that's familiar around these parts. i would like to report that there was no 'pushing or shoving' during or after this game.

next up is the evil empire on Sunday, Aug. 31st @ 4pm, Telefutura: América vs. Tigres UANL.

    current table: notables in bold
    1 San Luis / +6 / 16 Pts.
    2 Santos / +6 / 11 Pts.
    3 Tigres UANL / +5 / 10 Pts. - (with one less game played)
    4 Cruz Azul / +4 / 10 Pts.
    5 U.N.A.M. / +4 / 10 Pts. - (probable CCL opponent has been playing well)
    6 Tecos UAG / 0 / 10 Pts.
    7 Atlante / +1 / 9 Pts.
    8 Monterrey / 0 / 8 Pts.
    9 Toluca / 0 / 7 Pts.
    10 América / -1 / 6 Pts.
    11 Guadalajara / -2 / 6 Pts.
    12 Necaxa / -2 / 6 Pts.
    13 Puebla / -2 / 6 Pts.
    14 Morelia / -2 / 6 Pts.
    15 Atlas / -1 / 5 Pts.
    16 Pachuca / -2 / 5 Pts. - :D
    17 Indios Cd. Juárez / -6 / 4 Pts.
    18 J. Chiapas / -8 / 4 Pts.

Last night there was some sort of "Behind the Drama" show on LATV (which I love; they subtitle) featuring Kikin Fonseca. Okay, it wasn't really that interesting, but hey.

dude has the personality of a 8.5 X 11 blank piece of paper. he could of played a model in that Zoolander movie, 'blue steel' and all. :D

that being said: ever since he arrived at Tigres from Portugal he's been my whipping boy for everything that's gone wrong, but i hate to admit that he's been playing really well lately and is responsible for the current run.

That is one ugly player, but yesterday he looked great when he tied the game.

I hope the Dynamo will forgive the fact that yesterday I attended the game with my blue and yellow jersey, but had to prepare to watch the game on TiVo, I had no idea of the final score, yesterday was a happy day.

3-0 and 4-1, indeed, we own those rayas.

    2 hours to game time:

    FMF Quarterfinals, 2nd leg
    Atlante vs, Tigres
    Telemundo, 9pm CST

since Atlante is the higher seed and the first leg in Monterrey ended 1-1. Tigres must win to advance to the semis (a tie and Atlante goes through).

not only do you get the pleasure of watching Tigres :D, but you get to scout potential Dynamo CCL quarterfinal opponent in Atlante.

Okay, am I to watch Atlante v. Tigres or Chivas v. Toluca tonight? I believe the run concurrently.
