This looks like the division is really competitive this year. The first year Krush has been doing really well. It seems that some first year clubs underestimate the level of the league and under recruit. You can't say that about them or Atlanta. It looks like Hampton Roads is having a down year. I'm looking forward to the July 23rd match between Lady Eagles and the Krush. That should be a good game. I think having a more competive season will help who ever get's into the playoffs. And if the Lady Eagles make it they're probably glad that the Cobras didn't come back. Any thoughts from the rest?

Should be a good game between the Krush and Lady Eagles. Krush won the first meeting 3-2 in Central Florida, but it was a fairly close game. Both teams have done well this season. This time around the Lady Eagles will be at home, and the Krush will most likely be missing two of their better players to National team duty.

Here are the scores from this last week.

    Thursday July 14, 2005
Hamption Roads vs Carolina (as of monday no score posted)

    Friday July 15, 2005
    Richmond 1 vs Bradenton 2

    Saturday July 16, 2005
    NoVa 0 vs Charlotte 5
Richmond 1 vs Central Florida 4

    Sunday July 17, 2005
    NoVa 1 vs Atlanta 5

From the USL site, it looks like Central Florida and Charlotte have already quaified for the playoffs. Right now Charlotte is in first place by 1 point. However, Central Florida has 2 games in hand. Charlotte just has one game left against Central Florida. Central Florida has 3 games against Carolina, Charlotte and Atlanta. I might have to look into going down for the Eagles vs the Krush game.

It will be a good game. I'm still hoping Mitts and Fotop can come to the game since I will be there, although as part of the Eagles org, maybe I don't want them there. ;)

Fotop was at the game on Saturday (2 assists and a goal), Mitts wasn't. I doubt either will be at the game on the 23rd since they are in camp in California for the US game on the 24th. Should still be a good game.
