Should have had another there if James passed to him rather than Mount

Lukaku to score in his debut is amazing. Need another one in the 2nd.

Dominant performance. We’ve cruised this 2nd half, and still could’ve had 2 or 3 more.

I don't think players even tried that hard in the 2nd.....Cruise control, which I'm sure Tuchel will address.

Comfortable win for us. Lukaku instantly makes us better.

Having a striker who thrives with his back to goal will result in a lot more chances. Love what he brings and hope to see more of it.

Also the depth in the squad is fantastic right now and we may still add. Good start to the season but huge game at Anfield next week that will be a much sterner test.

Good performance, I think we have another 'gear', dare I say it but Lukaku today reminded me a lot of Drogba! Even though Arsenal haven't exactly been setting the world alight recently a win at their gaff is still a very good result.

    Happy today.

Just watching BBC match of the day, from their highlights you would think that Arsenal dominated the game but Chelsea snatched 2 goals against the run of play

    Made ammends in the analysis

Ah, yes, of course. Thank god for that

Well, not that he's got covid, obviously.

I'm just happy we won't have the wailing, screeching and thrashing of limbs in some quarters if he was not even on the bench on match day. Nobody needs that :D

Fun game to watch. Happy to have finally shaken the weird Arsenal jinx from the last few seasons.

Lukaku plays like he has a gravity well around him. He pulls passes and defenders to him like a planet. He was wearing Arsenal defenders like a backpack. Was that really his first senior team Chelsea goal? Did I hear that right?

Commanding performance and we didn't even get out of 2nd gear.

Tuchel has so many weapons at his disposal. If any player misses out through injury or covid, it's going to be hard for them to get their place back (Pulisic, Werner).

What a game. Great to see the confidence in the squad.

We finally have the depth needed to compete. I think everyone will have a solid amount of game time... especially during the winter months.

Yep, his first goal for Chelsea. He only played 10 games for us before, he did play well for us back then, got a MOTM award, but Sunday was his first goal. I think he will score a few more this season. imho Pulisic will thrive alongside him, the way Romelu holds the ball up is ideal for Pulisic.

I think Tuchel will continue to use subs really well. Rotation of a core 15 or so players. Mount, Havertz, Werner, Ziyech, CHO Pulisic and Lukaku all after 3 spots. Although CHO could be used as RWWB and Mount and Ziyech could also be considered for deeper midfield positions. I would still like to see us play with only two CBs in some games and therefore add that extra attacking player. We shall see what Tuchel does, but historiacally he has been able to change formations (at previous clubs).

Read an interesting bit about Conte/Lukaku at Inter. Apparently, the first weeks of pre-season/training at Inter was spent doing drills with Lukaku, back to goal, Andrea Ranocchia on his back, receiving balls to either turn/shoot or redistribute. If he lost it somehow, the drills started over. It showed yesterday. It adds an aspect to our team that's been missing since Costa. Lukaku can play this way, run channels, add skill, etc. Excited.

Let's not forget about the second goal, which was glorious in terms of both team and individual play.

-Alonso give-and-go with Kai on the touchline; that chip forward to Alonso is incredible.

-Alonso working tirelessly on the flank (he's one of the best wingbacks in the world guys, sorry) and getting the ball into Lukaku centrally

-Lukaku kinda miffs the pass, but he drew in a defender, letting the ball trickle to an open Mount.

-Mount opens his vision and body and leads a perfect ball to his mate, James.

-James has to gather Mount's snapping pass, controls it perfectly, and positions it into the top right corner from 15 yards away at an acute angle. That's not easy!
