No. If MLSE is going to adopt a name for their new soccer team that has synergy with one of their other franchises, they ought to tie-in to the Raptors' kid-friendly identity package.

I wrote in Toronto Internationals as well, and that was BEFORE I read through this thread. Glad to see I'm not the only one.

I really didn't like any of the pre-selected choices that are on there.

 

I dont know why we'd vote on this since we all know they'll just get bought and the team will be the Toronto Molson Ice

 

I settled on International Toronto

 

Toronto Northmen FC. I like that one, I'm apparently the first as well.
They're in Toronto, which is in the North, they're also men, and its a football club. Most obvious choice.

 

Indeed. That's what I said earlier. Seriously, we might expect more of these sort of arrangements.

 

Oh Toronto

 

Toronto is only in the north if you're in the United States. If you're in Canada, they're in the south. In fact they're south of Portland, Ore, Minneapolis, etc. So Northmen, much like Internationals makes more sense if you're an American than it does from a Canadian perspective.
