So it's official. Alexa Spaanstra, Rebecca Jarrett and Claire Constant are all returning for their fifth year.
That makes your team a real challenger for ACC and NCAA honors. With Jarrett this past season, who knows?
Steve Swanson is one gracious guy. This is the fourth time I've had him on my podcast. First time, we thought he was just going to be a segment, maybe we'd be lucky to talk with him for 20 minutes. He stayed an hour. Second time he was on for an hour and a half. He got a phone call at the tail end of this conversation, otherwise we'd probably have talked for another 15 minutes. Always a lot of fun.... https://hoosplace.com/2022/02/10/wsoccer/7041/ Here's the link @soccersubjectively
Yeah, we are. But like many other programs who are stacked right now because of covid super seniors, 2023 is going to be one heck of an adjustment.
A 2023 recruit ranked #19 by TDS is uncommitted. The odd thing is her name is Kiera Staude from Atlanta, Georgia. Only 5 of the top 25 are uncommitted. What's the story? I would think she's a lock for UVA. Am I missing something?
Great players make good coaches great and great coaches better! Just thought someone on the UVA thread might have some insight given the obvious UVA connections!
No recruiting ranking is infallible. TDS is certainly no exception. That said the 2022 team recruiting rankings has a top 3 of UCLA, Stanford and UNC. Stanford has the #s 1, 3, 5, 14, 29 and 65 recruits. Maybe they too do not know recruiting. Maybe their evaluations are BS. It's obvious no one here knows, or is willing to share publicly any backstory with Kiera Staude. That's OK!
