So, saw a tweet last night with a report in Italian that Aquilani wasn't happy with not playing, but expected to be part of the team in the next games. Hopefully so, he's one of my favorite players on one of my favorite teams.

I think it's a good deal on our end no matter what happens next summer (whether he stays or goes). If we can clinch CL qualifications or win the Europa League, hopefully, he'll want to stay

He could still shine at a smaller club like Milan or Roma. Let him chase playing time if that is his wish.

I would think that would be the plan. He can't leave till January, so plenty of time to find a Spanish or Eastern European left back.
