Viewing Party/TV Thread for NY- RSL game This Sat. (on HDNET only)

    Will RBNY vs RSL 5/5/07-9PM be on Direct Kick/MSG? I went to the Directv.com site to check the schedule for May and they have Colorado vs. RSL - 9PM listed for 5/5? What the F? Then I went to mls.net and they show the game only being given by HDNet...Doesn't look like MSG will carry the game either..

    Thanks Matt! That does suck... but I noticed that the Direct Kick package has the wrong teams playing on 5/5 w/ RSL vs Colo listed at 9PM... RSL is playing us at 9PM and Colo is playing Houston at 9:30PM...so maybe they are showing
    RSL-RBNY and it is just a typo... Hoping anyway...

    Does most of the NY/NJ area get HD Net? Im guessing not

    MLStv will have it 100%! The stream will be on and I think Direct Kick will have it.

    MLStv will NOT have it. The website says no.

    If the game is one of the 13 exclusive games for HDnet, then neither Direct Kick nor MLSLIVE.tv will have it.

    MLS are a bunch of stupid people, they can sale more MLS-tv spots national and international if they have every one of the game of the season, they will make a killer special international where countries haven't reception of the American channels and with the nationals who have not the services like HDs and others....

    Is HDNet broadcast in Playa del Carmen, Mexico? Cause that's where I'll be on the Cinco de Mayo!! :D

    sure jimbrown, you can travel to mexico for cinco de mayo but you can't travel to columbus, ohio in the freezing cold for a red bulls game?!? where are your priorities, man! have fun, muchacho. :)

    Game is on HDnet ONLY, which means most places dont have it. So there will be no official match viewing at Stout since they cant get it (god know we tried every trick in the book to "get" it too)

    I think there is a list of places in NYC and NJ (a small list) that carry HDnet. But most are going to be SOL for this match.

    funny...by signing an exclusive deal with hdnet, mls is making their product less visible.

    they should at least have it on direct kick (for those willing to pay for it) or even a PPV for the single match.

    maybe Red Bull will come through somehow ..

    I have HDNet, so I will be able to watch it...but it sucks that it's not a channel that is easily available at bars.

    (If only I had a living room that was bigger than a walk-in closet...then maybe I could have everyone over.)

    It's not on the Direct Kick schedule or MSG's; anyone know?

    Good question, in the past the games on HDNet were also on MSG (??). Does HDNET have an exclusive on this one?

    It's on HDNET and only HDNet (just like the games on ESPN2). They have exclusive air rights. I have HDNet on my cable system and the games look absolutely phenomenal in HD.

    Not all games on HDNet are exclusive to that channel (unlike ESPN2), but this one is unfortunately.
