He's 22. I mean, Werner is only 18 months older and a far better player and, at 55 million euros, is a steal. Even in this market. But Tammy has looked like a star in the making.
Yeah - it makes sense to buy an elite striker if you get the opportunity as they are hard to get He's been poor for a while - I suspect he won't make it at a top team
Gonna be hilarious when they find out they bought the wrong Werner BREAKING: Chelsea signed Mike Werner by mistake #cfc #werner pic.twitter.com/IoJ8w2U1IV— Wo sind sie jetzt? (@exprofis) June 4, 2020
I haven’t seen many and also only caught the end but it was sloppy, first match back after a long layoff after only 1 match of the season so lots of rust.
I haven't been following MLS's plans much at all, but just got an email from MLS about their plans for "MLS is Back" Tournament July 8 - Aug 11. It's a group-stage-plus-knockout-round tournament. The results will not count towards the regular season, at least not the knockout rounds. The entire tournament will take place at ESPN's complex at Disney World. There's a little prize money available, but from what I can tell, it's mainly a tune-up opportunity for squads (not to mention a chance for the organizers to experiment with new ideas* and raise some TV/advertising money) before they can restart the regular season, which they say they still hope/plan to do in 2020. Hmm... *Note: Here's a sentence I found a bit telling "a one of a kind tournament that will include telecasts that will feature unique and experimental technologies, including virtual commercial displays, new camera positions, advanced audio and fan integration elements"
I think they said it was the lowest total score between two teams since 1999 when Port Adelaide beat Richmond 32 to 30. I have heard it compared to the first match of the preseason. Its weird because you have 18 players on a field for your team, and you kinda play in zones (def, mid, fwd) but you are free to go anywhere. So training is usually full field, players changing roles based on the drills etc, theres a lot happening. But due to covid restrictions in Aus initially it was restricted to (i think, don't quote me) initially training in pairs, then in 10s but no contact, before it became unrestricted. The turnaround wasn't big. To add to that quarters dropped from 20mins plus time on to 16mins. This means you lose 16 extra minutes per game of scoring that can happen quite quickly. Hard to tell if this match was a one off due to the stunted preparation, or if lower scores will be a thing for just this season. With football (the bundesliga has been all I have watched) they don't appear to have had a scoring issue. Matches have been quite fluid and entertaining to watch.
Interesting. Agreed on the bundesliga, they didn't seem too rusty. Looks like FS1 here in the States has AFL or NRL on most mornings so if the baby wakes up early I have something to watch! And for anyone interested, Super Rugby NZ is on ESPN2 at like 2 AM. I think they are all on ESPN3 online, but some will be on ESPN2.
The first week of Bundeliga it appeared they were rusty, but after that it was fairly normal apart from not having a crowd.
My grandfather was born in Poland (well, Austria-Hungary really) . . . could I get a Polish passport out of that? Just curious.
I think your grandfather would’ve had had to maintain Polish citizenship at least until you were born.
The digital crowds at La Liga matches look less realistic than the ones from Fifa 2005 on PlayStation 1
got my response from the consulate - lots of red tape. Seems doable for my situation, though. We'll see.
