In a sport often defined by moments Mudryk created two that didn’t quite come off, his dribble through traffic in the box before shooting into the side netting and a one-two near the top of the box to put Chukwuemeka though on goal, before Chukwuemeka stumbled and went down in the box. In addition, when he came on, just the threat of him running in behind pinned Milner in his own half and put Chelsea on the front foot.

Unfortunately, I don’t think we can write him off yet.

El Sackio in West London today and as it stands, Fat Frank is probably out of a job in about an hour.

Dear Jupiter, Everton sucks. Knew I shouldn't have gotten hopeful about WHU going down.

Lampard just isn't at this level.

Edit* Should we pick Iwobi up when Everton get relegated?

Remember he was playing against a very poor , weakened Liverpool defence ..and directly against Milner who’s ridiculously slow and 20 years older

I’m not writing him off but I’m pleased that he didn’t set the world alight after following the money to Chelsea .

Thing is the first few games are quite often the easiest for new strikers as nobody knows their strengths or how to stop them .

Compare Haalands first 9 games for City against his last 9 games for them .,

Also great strikers quite often score in their debuts for the same reason

Ultimately I’m just disappointed he didn’t sign for Arsenal

If Arsenal don’t win the league it won’t be because Chelsea. Chelsea would have to be perfect for the remainder of the season to get back in the mix. If Arsenal average 2 points per game for the remainder of the season they will finish with 87 points, if Chelsea are perfect they can only get to 83 points. They will struggle to qualify for the Champion’s League.

With respect to Mudryk vs Trossard, I don’t expect a huge difference in their contributions in the second half of the season.

Palace are my 2nd favorite PL club and it isn't really close. Couple good draws this week against top 4 sides.

Yup, and Palace does us another favor by holding another one of our closest rivals to a draw. Thanks Paddy.

And young Chris Richards, starts for the 2nd time, puts in a largely solid shift from what I saw. Great for him. Good for USMNT.

And Willock, he seems to be an important part of Newcastle's plan. Nice to see him getting the minutes we all hoped he might.

We could have used a Willock as cover.

Lampard gets hammered by Moyes. How long will they let him sink his club down.

I wasn't overly happy when we let him go, but I wonder if we give him the gametime he needed to develop or we end up with him just clogging the ressies.

Yeah, but my hidden point was that he deserved to get more minutes than being just cover. And he's largely found that on Tyneside... and under several managers.

Just watched the nbc highlights of the Chelsea match and every clip that featured Mudryk was either brilliant or nearly there. Appears to have been a very promising debut from him.

I find it hard to see how Havertz is seen as offside in that goal, whereas Gashford was not offside.

Like had a rebound come to Gashford and he scored it - then he presumable would be called offside because he became active. So conceptually ja ja blah blah

But it seems absurd at a viewer level, how one goal stands and the other doesn't, given havertz was not interfering in play whereas gashford clearly was

I didn't expect we would get anything from that match, but Wolves conceding in the 40th would probably be a win for Wolves this season. Easy header for Haaland.

    Must win the United match.

    We must win indeed.

Citeh & Haaland coming back to life perhaps?

Erling has a hattrick and at 25 goals so far, he's bagged 2 more than Salah's total for all of last season which was good enough for the golden boot.

They are playing a horrendous Wolves. If we had Wolves today I would expect us to put 3-4 past them. They are really bad especially away from home.

Edit: Plus one of Haalands goals was a penalty, and another was an easy tap in from an horrendous gaffe from the keeper that Mahrez pounced on. So not sure Haaland is exactly back in form.

Frank Lampard, former manager of Everton Football Club. Not exactly shocking news.
