Klement in midfield in Endo's place, and Castro up in the 2 spot with Forster. Only changes from probable lineup.

    Kalajdzic
    Castro, Forster
    Sosa, Karazor, Klement, Massimo
    Kempf, Anton, Stenzel
    Kobel

60' Didavi and Ahamada on for Klement and Forster.

Ahamada farts around with the ball, loses it, and then fouls in the box. Arminia gets a PK.

66' Klos scores the PK, 0-1.

Why oh why did Matarazzo sub Klement off and Ahamada on?

And now down 0-2. I switched over to the Koln-Schalke match and missed the goal.

It's a good thing that this game doesn't mean anything to VfB, but it's a terrible way to end the season.

Arminia escape relegation with a 0-2 win in Stuttgart. Schalke and Werder Bremen get relegate directly, and Koln go into the playoff.

Yeah, VfB lost 5-0 on aggregate against Arminia Bielefeld this season. This is a team they need to beat on a regular basis.

Well, Winoman; this ends the Bundesliga season. If ESPN+ carries the Bundesliga again next season, you should find me here.

I will track the transfer news. It was fun to follow this squad through their first 1.B season in a few years.

I wasn't expecting more than a mid-table finish, so I'm not disappointed at the late season fade. A good period of stability would suit us. Just look at Schalke, Bremen, and Hamburg in the 2.BL and see what tough times look like. As an 80's fan, that's crazy!

Bernd Wahler wanted to develop commercial revenue, but never could due to neglecting the squad. With fans coming back to Mercedes-Benz Arena, and probably the 3rd highest attendance, we could afford to build a solid team, and maybe keep more of the talent the scouts discover, e.g. Rüdiger, Pavard. Next season isn't too soon to hope for a European place. Mid-table, and on the way up, would be better than we've had for a decade.

New (real) name: Silas Katompa Mvumpa

Just going to call him Silas from now on. Do you know how hard it was to type out "Wamangituka" quickly each time?
