Cata Diaz has picked up and injury as well and probably won't play. Morel is suspended so he won't play either. The youngster Cahais is probably going to start with Silvestre.

    Probable starting line-up:

Caranta; Ibarra, Silvestre, Díaz o Cahais, Rodríguez; Ledesma, Banega, Cardozo; Riquelme; Palacio y Palermo

Wow, our defense is totally revamped.

I hope Ibarra is pissed and plays a monster game. Clemente played well last time. But we have two laterals who are small, and who like to attack more than defend, so it's a gamble.

And, Silvestre and Cahais haven't been playing, and I don't think they ever were paired up together.

I hope it works. Ledesma and Banegas will have to help a lot defensively. But still from midfield up this lineup is awesome. Hopefully we can control the game, create chances, and get the ball in the net. With these players we have, we should take it to Velez. Then we don't have to worry about the defense.

Unbelievable! 5 goals for Neri already as a midfielder . And good to see Palacio scoring again to boost his confidence.

On the first play of the game, Palacio made a nice run on the right and found Cardozo in the middle, Cardozo shot it low beating the goalie.

Halfway throught the half Palacio stole the ball from a defender and dribbled past the goalie to put it in. He looked awesome, like Palacio from last year.

But Boca missed lots of chances, they should be up by more. Riquelme could have scored more than once. Palermo, Palacio, Cardozo all came close. Lets see what happens in the second half.

Orteman on for Neri. Russo's going more defensive.

Velez are dominating the midfield, Boca are sitting back.

Strong game. A few defensive problems, but it has to be expected when the team plays attacking football. I think the midfield works great with Banegas, Ledesma, Cardozo and Riquelme. Bringing in Orteman we lost a bit of possesion. We need to take it to the opponents.

Meanwhile, Velez seems to be suffering from 'Lavolpitis'. :D

Orteman came in as prevention ... Neri had 4 yellows coming into this game, with the Superclasico next weekend. Smart move from Russo.
