This move excites me about as much as wet underwear. I can't see Vaca coming here and making any real impact. After a few years here I don't think that he has progressed to become any great big deal. As a player he is average at best, a ho hum player, but I'm sure he'll knock our socks off.

Yes, he is small and slow with a weak shot.

But you also have to remember that he spent his entire MLS career under Jeffries. Also, you will probably be playing a 3-5-2, is that right? As a Dallas fan, I don't think he was ever going to do anything with us given our roster and formation, but I am very curious to see what he does in NY. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see him play well for you guys.

Why complain about this move, if it works great and if not we move on. If he doesnt perform well the future considerations will be minor, and its not as if we traded a starter or an allocation for him. This move has upgraded our midfield. This player also is not comanding a large salary for $50,000 his performance is above average.

Vaca deserves a bunch of threads. He will have a few highlight films for you next season.

We'll see if he can progress in a new system under Bradley, however I won't hold my breath.
