As long as they also provide good sex ed at the academy, and access to birth control, what’s the big deal? What’s the difference between that and any other high school?
It's a high school in Utah. You know, where they bury their head in the sand about this stuff. On a more serious note, is there a residential portion of the Academy? Or do all the kids have a host family or something?
Major club announcement on 10/26. Ashley Hatch has been called up to play with the USWNT for their match in Utah, on 10/26. Please be related.
So, if you missed it, the "major" club announcement was just the groundbreaking of a new training facility for the Royals in Herriman.
Watching the NWSL final between Seattle and NY/NJ. Rapinoe went down off the ball in minute three of her final game and had to be subbed.
All the ones with mediocre programs, mediocre coaches, and zero recruiters watching? I get that she could have gone out of state, but I’m happy to have a thoroughly homegrown star on the team.
Hey man the Y is a great school and has great programs. Just gotta be in the membership to make it logical. Not my bag, but for those that it is good on ya.
The BYU women's soccer program is elite. Three straight years in the elite 8 and only a season or two away from playing in the title game and headed there again this season. https://byucougars.com/staff/jennifer-rockwood a little dated but still pretty impressive.
That’s my point. There’s only a handful of elite programs, and BYU, for better or worse, is one of them.
Kaliegh Riehl is a good acquisition IMO. Not sure about the other two players they traded for today, but at the price point, probably only expected to be depth players.
Just signed Michelle Vasconcelos. Michele Vasconcelos: Fast Facts | Utah Royals (rsl.com) Don't want to ruffle any feathers, so I won't make any comments about her questionable choice of colleges.
Those college ranking rags are not to be trusted. USB has cranked out some of the most powerful and influential business leaders in the nation!
Has anyone seen a summary of the players added after the flurry yesterday? What about the expansion draft Friday? Is there a team left that doesn't have expansion protection? https://kslsports.com/508734/utah-royals-make-two-trades-for-goalkeeper-first-round-picks/ Looks like that story didn't cover the trades with LA, KC, Houston and Portland, either. By my math, there are 3 teams that the Royals haven't given protection to, Chicago, Reign and Louisville. Who might they be targeting? I count 12 players so far.
