Just a rumor right now but some folks are saying Matthew Hoppe to Wrexham is happening. Kinda like it honestly. If you wash out of s bottom table MLS side, it feels like a good landing spot for him to have the opportunity to prove people wrong

Not sure he’d be proving anyone wrong by playing well in League One.

Weird move…it’s a step down in terms of competition. And I’m dubious that he’ll be making more money in Poland.

How reliable is that twitter account?

It's a hype account that repeats anything it hears.

Legia Warsaw would be a dumb move for a ton of reasons.

The original story comes from TVP Sport, which is apparently a Polish sports channel that airs their domestic league games. So I suppose that's something.

Isn't the guy only making 5 figures?

I'd hope better offers come, but Legia can likely up his salary

I mean, Orlando can likely up his salary if they want as well.

The interesting thing is, because of MLS rules, if they sell him, they can convert up to $3M of the sale price to GAM in a year.

And that may be worth more to Orlando than a more expensive McGuire. I mean, I wouldn't think so if you think Duncan's the real deal but also that's a LOT of GAM. So if you have doubts ...

So Legia Warsaw is going to pay Orlando City $3M+ for McGuire?

I have no idea. They were going to get more than that last year. I doubt he goes to Legia Warsaw either way.

Just saying that in some cases, a GAM-strapped team may opt to let a guy who wants to go, go, since they upped the amount of GAM from $1.1M per transfer to $3M total for a year.

I mean, that tweet just says that Legia Warsaw is interested.

    Why wouldn't they be?

We're getting to silly season in which the slightest rumor ignites a fire on twitter.
Its all fun as long with take everything with a grain of salt.

If they're giving Eddie Johnson $3M you can understand why they would let some guys go.

McGuire almost went to the Championship but for a paperwork problem. Do you really think he will leave for Poland?

More clubs listed with interest in Sargent:
Second chance for Josh Sargent? Premier League transfer plan for USMNT star as Leeds line up move after previous Tyler Adams, Brenden Aaronson & Weston McKennie deals | Goal.com US

According to the Sunday Mirror, Leeds – who have previously acquired Tyler Adams, Brenden Aaronson and Weston McKennie - are mulling over a move for Sargent if they win promotion as more firepower will be required at Elland Road. Bournemouth, Brentford and Fulham are also being credited with interest, while Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen would welcome the opportunity to bring him back onto their books.

Well, they need a better 9, for sure. That’s what killed them last season.

No, what killed them last season was their defense and goalkeeping. 12th in the league in goals scored....20th in goals conceded.
