You're only now noticing it? Been every where the last few years. Another way for players to satisfy their own competitive drive. Gamifies running, sprints, output, etc

I’ve noticed it but just now saying something about it... there seems like they would just build that into the uniform. Seems like it would be a lot more comfortable.

It's coming soon. The merging of clothing and bio and kinetic monitoring is gonna be huge. Have heard anecdotally (never worn one) that the bra isn't noticeable after awhile but yea, soon enough everything the bra gives you will be sewn directly into the fibers of the apparel -- and it could conceivably provide you more nuance, like the output measurements of specific muscles/joints/limbs in real time.

Sounds like he’s meant to be Bailey’s replacement.

Heard on The Coaching Academy on Sirius the other day about a company that is putting a chip in boots to measure exercise load in Soccer.

Still need to get pulisic away from Chelsea, the idea of him being a backup wing back is awful

He looks pretty filled out compared to where he was two years ago and I don’t see much of an uptick of explosiveness. I think he’s close to his physical peak.

I think this is the company mentioned. Instead of using the sports-bra thingy, the GPS devices fit around the heel of the shoe.

He is a 22 midfielder that went to college for 4 years, and now he is playing in the PL. He is someone to check out.

Played central mid for Georgetown the last couple of years. Left right before the NCAA tournament to trial (which I don't get ... because he signed months and months later). Rather suprisingly signed with Crystal Palace and less surprisingly was immediately loaned out.

He was a very good college player, but I was pretty shocked when he signed with Palace. Usually the college guys who outperform out are physical freaks who then quickly catch up on skills (Dike, Robinson); Montes is more Frankie Amaya than Daryl Dike.

Even more strange. He signed a one-year contract at Palace, and of course he's not eligible for a work permit (or whatever they're calling that in a post-Brexit world). So they had to loan him out, and that was to the Belgian 2nd division. What on Earth is he going to do this year to become eligible? Nothing. So I don't get it..............................

Perhaps he knows people at Palace and they did him a favor in giving him cred and lining him up a European spot?

He's also eligible for Nicaragua and has played for their YNT and had apparently discussed WCQ if they had made the Ocho.

So perhaps we're going to see him in friendlies over the next year to get him eligible?

For NIcaragua maybe, but not for the USMNT. Being in the Belgian 2nd division doesn't get you in the USMNT these days. Hell, Joe Efford played for the same Belgian club in the 1st division last season and that didn't get him a callup to the USMNT.

But anyway, Sargent's transfer may be imminent.

    Transfer grades ....

Ethan Horvath (F -) Club Brugge > Nottingham Forest. Honest to God, if Horvath transferred to Nottingham Forest to sit on the bench, then, we should all hope that this brainless idiot never plays for the national team again. This move appears to be so bad that it makes the Gale Agbossoumonde saga look like it was ordained by Métis. And it might honestly go down as the worst transfer mistake ever made in American soccer history.

Uly Llanez (D) Wolfsburg > St. Polten. This is the kind of move that you’d wish he would just place in MLS.

Sebastian Soto (D) Norwich City > Porto. This is not the kind of move that will help Soto become a first team player sooner than later.

Chris Mueller (C) Orlando City > Hibernian. I get that he wants to play in Europe so I can’t rip him too much. But this seems like a step down for his career and might make it more difficult for him to earn an occasional cap.

Alex Mendez (B) Ajax > Vizela. It was clear that Mendez was never going to play for Ajax. But if he can become a first team player in Portugal... it’s not a bad place for him to play his career.

Josh Sargent (B) Werder Bremen > Norwich City We’ll have to wait and see. There’s some things to be excited and other things to be worried about. Will he play? Will Norwich provide service? Will he score? Can Norwich stay up?

Sam Vines (A-) Colorado Rapids > Royal Antwerp Belgium isn’t a top 5 league, but it’s still a damn good league and it’s great exposure for Vines to advance and refine his game.

Gianluca Busio (A-) Sporting Kansas City > Venezia. On the surface, this move has everything to be excited about. Can he grow his game? Will he play? Can Venezia stay up?

Tanner Tessman (A-) FC Dallas > Venezia. Similar to Busio, this move appears like a solid move for his career. And the same questions for Busio apply to Tessman.

Konrad de la Fuente (A+) FC Barcelona > Olympique Marseilles. Konrad was frozen out of Barcelona who seem likely they’re about to go through some rough times. Meanwhile, Konrad transferred to one of the best teams in France and appears to be ready to play a big role.
