Is that Coach Bradley? I guess he is helping out with the Nats in the off season.

That's the same picture that struck me. I had no idea he was there helping out. He's pretty clearly Arena's successor, so maybe THE Bruce is already getting him involved.

    Armas is still in camp?

I thought Chris had left camp. The picture is dated 1-9-04 and Chris is clearly still there. Any explanation. Did he just beg out of the Denmark game itself?

does the team get annoyed with the photo taking? especially being so close to them? i would think they would get a little annoyed with the sound of a shutter when they are probably dead tired.

If Sarachan's Fire teams keep up the excellence, I'm not so sure that Bob is the next Nats manager. I would think that Dave would get a close look by the USSF.

And Richard Mulrooney is the guy at the lead of the next pack...

    lol..

I wonder if this happens anywhere else in the world... A club manager training with the nats?

Probably so, I think it's cool.

I don't see Bruce Arena doing laps with the guys.

There are a lot of factors that I think play into this. If Arena doesnt do so well, US Soccer could go with a foreign coach, or in a coach that isnt directly connected to Arena. Then there is MLS, and all the things that could happen there that could effect who the coach could be.

But you are right in that if Arena is allowed to hand pick his successor, one of those two guys are likely to get the gig. I hope it wouldnt go to any of the youth coaches, who were all mediocre MLS coaches at best.

I know the scrimmages on Saturday were open to the public, I went to the morning match...but are the practices also open (able to get on the sidelines) or was a press pass needed?

Press Pass required. Practices are closed to the public. you can watch from outside the fence.

Saw a very funny thing on the BBC 5 Live web site claiming to see LD at Arsenal on the 11th. Seeing these pics, just makes me chuckle. Only Santa Claus travels that fast to be in Arsenal a day after being in LALA Land.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Still, it's not the worst view to watch practice when outside the fence, just not great access to very good pictures like yours.

    hey Mr. Aztec,

since you're interviewing players, feel like asking Mullan, LD or Mulrooney what their take on Johnny Moore resigning as GM and the rumored Club America sale is? just curious. Off topic, I know. Sorry. :)

    thanks!
