The funny thing to me is Bournemouth told the US that Adams was on a strict minutes limit and they complied. As soon as he got back they blew that up and he was injured. In this case it might work better since he won't be going back to Bournemouth for a while so if the US gradually (instead of going straight from 45 to 90+) increases his minutes he might stay healthy. I also hope they get some physios to look him over and make sure what his regimen is is the correct one since he keeps getting re-injured.
Question that probably has been answered over and over elsewhere, but if it has, I've missed it.: Could Adams have restrained something on that rocket of a shot that he scored with against Mexico?
Ah, yes. The English Riviera. Famous for its bland food and poor climate. Comparable to the more famous French, Italian and Mexican varieties where you can get interesting food and go to a warm beach.
It's sort of a sarcastic term for the South Coast of England. Bournemouth is renowned for its climate. There are a couple of days a year when it doesn't rain, making it a favorite retirement location. They even managed to grow a palm tree. Actually global watching might be turning in into a bit of a summer paradise. At least until the Gulf Stream gets cut off and Britain freezes over.
I wonder how many of these utes realize that peroxide is an element of a rocket fuel propellant - it is good to clean wounds but putting that in your hair is not something I would do.
We might as well put the latest update on Adams and Sargent somewhere. Tyler Adams and Josh Sargent fitness updates issued by USMNT boss Gregg Berhalter ahead of Brazil friendly | Goal.com US Speaking to reporters (about the Brazil game), Berhlater said: "Tyler will be available to play limited minutes and my guess is it's under 45 minutes that he's able to play. (Whereas), Josh is progressing well. (But) he won't take part in this game."
Miazga might be out long-term. On the youth forum they've been talking about a potential knock-on effect of this one. Miles Robinson was talked about as a potential overage player at the Olympics. They probably won't release him if Miazga is out. Head Coach Pat Noonan just confirmed Matt Miazga not available for Wednesday. Said it’s “not great.”Full medical report coming in, Pat said “he won’t be playing on Wednesday.” Could be long term. Nothing more at this time. Best thoughts with Matt for a quick recovery.— Tom Gelehrter (@Tommy_G) June 17, 2024
Still waiting for Berhalter or US Soccer to give a status update on Adams and Sargent, but in the meantime, they have given interviews in the past couple days where they were asked about their fitness or injury status. Adams on his fitness: "I would say I'm 100%. Gregg might say differently. But I'm ready to go. I'll be ready to go Sunday." Sargent on his ankle: "It's feeling good at the moment. So it's kind of a day by day thing. But I'm feeling good. I've been training with the guys the past couple of days, and everything's going well. So hopefully it stays that way."
I think he’s expected to he ready to go for the start of next season and should be able to go through preseason.
Gregg Berhalter says all #USMNT players are available to see time in tomorrow's match. However, he does seem to caveat this by saying "some role."Hard to imagine Tyler Adams or Josh Sargent being options in the starting XI. https://t.co/TdgIWF03PP— Kyle Bonn (@the_bonnfire) June 22, 2024
Hopefully the US takes cate of business and there's no need to play Adams or Sargent. I could still see a few minutes for them just to start getting them ready for later when needed.
