I hate the USL names right now because they are so damn confusing to the average soccer fan. A-League is particularily bad because it makes it sound like the A-League is the equivalent of Single-A baseball which it clearly is not (Triple A would be the equivalent). I like the idea of tying it to the MLS name. Makes it clear what they are all about. The problem is the USL head honchos would never let that happen. How About MLS MLS 1st Division MLS 2nd Division MLS 3rd Division I think that makes it clearer than just MLS 1
Since there is no pro-rel (please lets not get into that again) and since the USL and the MLS have no relationship it is incorrect and misleading to label the leagues in that manner.
