The bad: Arriola and Zimmerman in the starting lineup. Weah and Richards on the bench. The good: Musah starting and will be permanently cap-tied to the USA now.
Funny I've seen a lot of negativity here (shocking, I know) about how tonight's game will go, even with all the guys Jamaica is missing. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say we absolutely dominate and win handily this evening.
Tonight’s starting XI (official): ———————Pepi—————— Aaronson————————Arriola ———McKennie——Musah——— —————(CPT)Adams————— A. Robinson————————Dest ———M. Robinson—Zimmerman— ———————Turner——————
Yeah arriola I just don’t get. We have better and he was pretty passive in the gold cup . But we should be fine In spite of that
I wanted to see Weah, but I hope this is a strategic consideration for the other two games. Of note, what Arriola offers is effort.
Really the biggest complaint one could have. You could move to a 3 back and let Richards get some exposure in a game we should control but I'm not sure yet. Not a fan of the MMA midfield, none of them pass. Wes makes runs, Musah likes to go 1v1, and Adams is a defensive player. There should be a shuttle player in there somewhere. Perhaps Aaronson?
Isn't this @AutoPenalti's job? Who dared start one before waiting on him? But yeah, merge these threads mods.
We have a total of 4 center backs on the roster. Starting 3 in this game (or in any game this window) would not be the best idea.
